Lots are already coming to Vancouver driving up property values. Looks like the 1-2 million dollar range are affected the most.

Almost all the tweets I post are from writers at large news orgs, like AP, SCMP, HKFP, etc. If you think I post "propaganda" then you are really too stupid to know what propaganda is, and you have probably fallen for it yourself.
I come across a LOT of bullshit propaganda from both sides, and I filter out that crap and post the useful stuff here. For the benefit of people who still have free thought (obviously not you or the clowns who upvoted you). I actually think you guys don't deserve this service, but I do it anyway, because I know there are a lot of lurkers and people who aren't like you who do benefit from it.
As I've said before, I'm not pro-protesters. I am for liberty, self determination. I am pro HK, I am pro China.
Edit: I do admit that I tend to use inflammatory language, and I am prone to hyperbole at times. I'll try to keep that in check in the future, but I hope people can understand my situation in regards to that kind of stuff. From now on I'll let a post sit for a few minutes before hitting submit.

I will note that despite this protester action, police have been pretty restrained this morning. I've yet to see any footage of shootings or beatings (although there's a video of some fat riot cop taunting people telling them to try stealing his gun). Although tear gas was used, it was shot to disperse, rather than shooting at kindergarten schools, citizens and press, or firing from a moving vehicle.

All buses are shut down, MTR is barely moving (edit: stations are starting to close now). The city is basically shut down today, after police besieged CUHK overnight (one of the top 60 universities in the world apparently)
I don't even know what the point of the siege is... Like all the police needed to do was turn around and go home and what would have happened? The students would just be there, protesting. | | | | | 11-12-2019, 03:19 PM | #2188 | | Hacked RS to become a mod

All schools closed for the rest of the week. CUHK has cancelled their semester completely. Wife and sister couldn't get to work today, so they both stayed home. They'll try again tomorrow, but who knows?
Police still stopping and searching random students, even young kids in school uniforms. They are arresting and beating up people in "illegal assemblies" since being in groups is now illegal in Hong Kong. Carrie Lam continues to spout bullshit, calling protesters enemies of the state.

I'd say that it's coming to a head, but this will continue until either the government is disbanded, or they literally roll tanks in and do Tianmen 2.0, killing hundreds or thousands of people. Not just students this time, teachers, doctors, lawyers, bankers, everyone.

For China to succeed in their mission, they will have to kill almost every single person in Hong Kong. Either that, or listen to their demands (which are already written into law and being ignored)

 | pretty sure they will just wait and watch, why step in and give everyone a common enemy to hate on?
Hong Kong financial infrastructure is important to CCPC as a gateway, but they dont' give a fuck if you want to burn your own city to the ground.
As long as those financial infrastructures are still intact. Banking is not disrupted, money are still flowing thru, and stock markets are still open, they will probably let this shit show keep on going.

It's been quiet where I live today. The rest of HK however, is pretty much on fire.
Another protestor has been suspected of "being thrown down a building" in Tsuen Wan, and has died as a result of his injuries a few moments ago.

more photo evidence popped up with HKP riot gear making an appearance in one of the PLA garrisons.

Carrie Lam just held a meeting with a few select members of the government. The rumour is that a curfew is going to be imposed and the district elections are going to be cancelled.

Good luck to those who are still in HK.
I'm scared of sleeping in that I will wake up to a nightmare (it's close enough already as it is)

 edit:
CUHK has suspended all classes and ended the semester prematurely

I hold the police to a higher standard but fuck the protestors are not that much better.
Vandalizing, blocking traffic, throwing shit on the highway and mtr.

Setting shit on fire. Setting a person on fire. Breaking into places. Destroying any businesses who speaks against them. Spray paint in your face. Rip your clothes off. Hit you with a tennis racket.

Beating people up on the streets. Hitting a woman who's walking away. Beating up mainlanders who works in Hong Kong. Beating up mainlanders who goes to school in Hong Kong. Attacking police. Trying to use a knife and slash at the police officer's neck. Charging towards police. (Like how that guy got shot. You try rushing towards a cop with a gun anywhere else in the world, it's not just one bullet, it's bullets till you drop dead on the ground).

Police are wrong in their own conducts but fuck sakes this went from one extradition law to this piece of shit.

I don't think there is going to be curfew. I don't think the HKPF is capable of policing that. The same people are still going to roam the streets and they don't have the manpower arrest all of them.

There are a lot of videos on /r/sino that show a different POV than /r/hongkong such as protesters or "protesters" being complete dicks and being excessively violent.
It makes the whole movement seem more muddy than black&white. Disheartening that these baddy protesters are screwing it up for the rest of HK citizens.

I think the legit protestors should've done more to condemn the violence by the extreme protestors. Right now it seems like the protestors think they should get a free pass to do whatever they want regardless of its impact because they are fighting in the name of freedom, but once something happens to them, they cry foul and act all innocent.
