Speaking of the BBQ area, why is there a BBQ joint outside of the usual area, all by its lonesome? Gone rogue? lol.
Competition was too hot?

i dunno but its a brutal spot for them.. its kind of a double edged sword
No one lines up for their shit, and in turn, they arent cooking anything.. so people walk up and theres like one sorry rack of ribs on the grill and they just say fuck it and move on

sidenote: I think parallel 49 has a new beer you can only get at the PNE. Mexican cerveza neFAIRious. pretty good.

I tried Henry’s chicken earlier today and I left disappointed. The chicken was dry. No wonder why there isn’t a like up for it.
I’ve noticed this year more and more food stands are doing cash only.

The bbq is good, gator bbq brisket was killer and apperently you’ve gotta get the beef ribs not the pork from them. They were in high demand

I had gators brisket, beef ribs and pork ribs with bunch of buddies. Would go back just for them! Dont forget to get their version of mashed potatoes for $2 on the side, good portion.
I also tried their new beer this year from parallel 49 collabs with PNE, nice and light wheat beer much like hefeweizen. But you can only get them from the parallel 49 beer truck nowhere else. I think it is close to the market place / festive area

Anyone finding this years PNE a major disappointment from years past?
The exhibition this year was some lame ass wall paper back drop for photos/selfies. Not sure why PNE thought this was a good idea to attract people, the entire forum was dead as fuck too. It took no more than 2 minutes to walk the whole thing. The overall crowd this year was noticeably smaller too. Quote:

I’ve noticed this year more and more food stands are doing cash only. | Oh man, we ate Henry's Chicken as well. I usually find their food to be somewhere in between decent and not good.. but this year it just sucked. $17 for a 1/4 chicken combo or $22 for a 1/2 chicken. They did load up the fries though.

Yea the additional exhibitions are pretty wack this year, the dinosaur thing and the selfie thing are no go’s for me. Haven’t gone into the history of video game display beside the forum there yet though
My wife is Part of the comittee which provides input on the PNE, def gonna have some input for them this year gotta turn it around going forward

selfie thing was a joke. video game thing is so hot and humid inside but I enjoyed it. they just reuse those dinosaurs you usually see at local events
but yea they the exhibits are a joke.
if your going to the knights of valor thing the first 15 mins or so is pretty boring
crazy long fries is the biggest hype this year. next to flaming hot cheetos corndogs.

Is it true PNE is $6 after 6pm?
Any coupons or deals for this weekend?

went this year... got free tickets to go so why not.
went at 7pm and left at 9pm. i found it very disappointing this year compared to others. Food was pretty bad. spent most of my time at the market place and even then wasn't very interesting.
always have to have those mini donuts
