From a recent trip to Phoenix,

After months of searching

the acceleration is brutal.

1st run is 4.8s
2nd run is 3.8s
3rd run is 3.6s

not sure when I can hit 3.0s without blowing my heart up

Someone is keeping it fast and silent so no VI. [emoji1362]

I wish I can keep my feet on the floor the whole time, people in town are doing 3.0-3.2s, but 3.6s is hella quick already for one who used to drive a 7s car lol

Bah. Embrace it. Makes lots of noise, shift like your going a million miles an hours and keep smiling. It’s what I do. lol. Just don’t do it next to any car newer then 2014, cause they’ll smoke you. Hahah

Chris Harris made a comment like this lately. The E30 M3 is a sexy beast, but it was made with much less sticky tires in mind.

It sounds like putting R comps or something on it would ruin all the joy and feeling/feed back the car provides.

What are your thoughts on tires for it? Are you planning any track days?

we live in an era that an appliance machine can easily crack 6 seconds (toyota Camry) and the automotive Toaster (Teslas) are in the 3 seconds range.

sure they're fast, but they don't really spark the joy of motoring..... (unless you're into off the line acceleration..)

I've said this to a few of my customers: Toyota and Tesla for the most part, make excellent appliances. BMW, Porsche, Honda etc makes excellent driving Cars.

I was thinking of throwing firehawks on it. Just 205/50/16s though. Will be stickier, but not crazy.
Car won't be tracked until I have a lot more experience with it. Its 31 years old, and I need plenty of time to make sure its up to the standard of my e36.

The official 0-60 listed in the brochure is 7.6s, so in theory westopher and I would be dead even with hud (and my mother in law) just ahead of us. FeelsBadMan

Apparently with some light mods hud could quite the sleeper and this could get really embarrassing.

^ If i recall, the Rav4 in that youtube video is supercharged. Can't remember if its the one with a modified supercharger from a Lotus Evora (also uses the 2GR-FE)
