What is everyone's thoughts on people meeting in parking lots and chatting/eating/celebrating birthdays while maintaining social distances? Note that none of these examples are essential reasons to travel. It's not something I partake in personally, but I see a lot of it on social media.

Went over to a friends house had a couple beers today in his back yard zero contact with anything respected social distancing, can’t see from the street etc.
I’d say out in public like that ain’t a great example to others

I wonder if people have slowly got tired of self isolation.
I've been noticing more cars on the street in my work commute as of last week.
Yesterday, it almost felt like it was back to pre-covid19 days.
I was never able to work from home, but did offices suddenly open again for others?

I’ve personally seen a friend a couple times. But only 1, and he has done the same. Basically an extension to our “household.” In fact I told him to move in for a while as he’s bored as Hell and I have more projects at my place. Lol.

Obviously it hasn't helped.

^Last Sunday was very quiet during afternoon. Fast forward week later, today was quite busy on the roads. It's like people are fed up staying home and decided to come out today.

I've been biking a lot over these sunny days, went from Burnaby to do the seawall yesterday, David Lam Park was the busiest I've ever seen it in my life. I literally thought I was in the middle of a protest when I first turned the bend there, every spot on both sides of the grass were covered with groups of people hanging out.
It's what I said before, the minute it gets nice and warm out, good luck telling people to quarantine inside their homes.
It's not going to happen. The best IMHO is to plan around that fact.

Yea Bonny Henry said basically don’t plan on having weddings or sort of gathering through the summer ie. the PNE etc.
Big events like the fireworks etc won’t happen obviously because they are run by organizations but I reallllyyyyyyy doubt big gatherings are gonna stop through the summer. The PNE is 5+ months away.

5 weeks now, longest I've gone without shaving. Hit everything with a 7mm clipper, trimmed away at about the adams apple and a bit of the scragglies on the cheeks, trimmed some of the mustache so it's not dipping into my mouth

And, would zoom guests still be obligated to bless your wedding with some prezzies |

Definitely not how she would have imagined her dream wedding to be like. |

Maintaining a consistent routine and energy has been a major challenge for me.
Recently bought a road bike and have been putting a lot of time in on that either alone or with the friend.
We read a paper about social distancing on a bike, and apparently need to be 20m apart... so we've actually been riding with masks.
I'm finding the sun exposure/exercise has really helped! We've been riding to a lot of scenic spots that I'd normally do in a car - Grouse Mountain, UBC, Iona Beach, QE Park, etc - some of which are closed if you have a car. I guess the big question is whether we'll be able to climb Cypress or Seymour at some point this season, but given that the roads are closed there's no better time to train.

^ so many people are buying bikes its not even funny. Crazyyyy how the sales are over the roof right now. It just sucks the rain is coming this week but I'm really happy people are getting outside. I'm goign to get my parents a bike to just get out. They don't have karaoke, no ping pong, no swimming, no calligraphy classes ... heck, I just bought my dad a ping pong table for his bday yesterday so he can have something to do.
There's only so much calligraphy you can do at home and their metabolism has gone down so much.. so they are unhappy with weight gains.
