Wouldn't that just land him a VI with the VPD? :lol

It does, and it's easy to bump up to 8600rpm redline. My CSX-S was a great car, but a little boring if you aren't flogging it.

All of the preventive maintenance done, tasteful mods.

But on the pricey side of things

I like 370z out of those choices. They are quite capable on track.

They're okay.

Been listed for quite awhile now

"Over $10k recent routine work" Dat BMW life
Besides the alternator, that list is the standard failures they all need, I don't get why people are ok with this

Probably the nicest fiST in BC. Clean, stock looking but all the right upgrades (like the euro headlights)

I saw this last night too, do you know the owner?

I didn’t like that he took the front grill out completely and was thinking it’s probably been bagged on pretty hard but it does look super clean and the mods list is impressive.

320icar 06-07-2020 07:56 AM

No I don’t know them. The mod list isn’t insane but it’s all the right stuff. Would make an amazing canyon/autox car. I think the only thing I’d change is the tune. I used to run 94 but I found through datalogging the chevron fuel was way too inconsistent. Would be better off getting a safe 91 tune and losing the potential 8hp.

immorality 06-07-2020 03:01 PM

These cars don't seem to make large gains in hp (until a turbo swap), but there's tons of torque. I always hated having to reach for the red pump, $$$. A good 91 tune goes a long way and these cars are a blast in near stock form.

Right now I have two cars in mind:

1. A track prepped E46 M3 Coupe owned by someone who has been to Ridge and is known by other RS members. 186K km but VANOS and subframe is done. Has AST 4200 2 way coils with Vorshlag camber plates. AKG bushings all round. Probably list price is $25-28K. He has given me his price for me, which I won't share.

2. I found a 2009 G37S Coupe in 6M/T for 15K. 65K kms, has usable rear seats, would be an effective replacement for the E46 330CI. Not sure how it handles on track, it's a heavy car like the E46. But japanese reliability and VQ37.

LOL~ Sounds to me like you've got a classic dilemma on your hands:

Good luck with the decision making, mate. :lol

BIC_BAWS 06-09-2020 05:33 PM

G37S owner hasn't responded to my reply to the ad :/

M3 is sold LOL

JDMDreams 06-09-2020 05:36 PM

I would say G37 or 370z is a good daily without worrying about BMW problems, and they are hard to beat in terms of exhaust note

BIC_BAWS 06-17-2020 10:15 PM

Instead of me starting a new thread for this / calling every insurance place,

Does anyone know if there's insurance places open in Vernon/Kelowna on Saturday/Sunday during these COVID periods?

jpark 06-17-2020 10:29 PM

london drugs?

JDMDreams 06-17-2020 10:53 PM

Super store?

320icar 06-17-2020 11:00 PM

Most dealerships have an auto plan brocher. They’re not employees of the dealership. Just call around and see if they have one and go in and use theirs

underscore 06-17-2020 11:07 PM

LD in Kelowna doesn't do insurance, Superstore does and they're open til 9PM every day IIRC.

JDMDreams 06-18-2020 03:46 PM

So what did you buy? :worthless: pics or it didn't happen
