Aqualini on the radio right now for the press conference, listened for the last 10 or so driving downtown. Things that stood out:
A) why is Smyl still around let alone like this front facing guy with Aqualini? He was involved this whole mess for most of it, get rid of him.
B) Aqualini still seems very hesitant to hire a hockey operations guy and seems to not even really understand the role? Says it will only work if you hire someone who work together seemlessly and have worked together previously? Kinda weird/concerning

Smyl jumped in a lot to save him... Smyl don't take shit from nobody, someone suggested this might be a rejig/reboot rather than a rebuild... and he was like "Rejig? Is that the new word now?" sarcastically to them LOL
Acquillini claims he has ZERO involvement in managerial operations and that he's not interfering at all... but then immediately after that he said the GM comes to him with changes and they either agree or disagree........ so.... which is it? LOL
As an aisde, I swear I heard Friedman's voice asking a question? Did he fly all the way out here for that presser or was I hearing things???
