The longer this takes, the worse it gets for Russia. You keep bombing and killing innocent lives, the Ukrainian people will resist even more to the point Putin will have to wipe out the whole population. The rest of the world will eventually have to do something. Once Ukraine is taken over, the rest of Europe is done. |
Russia now banning media from independent reporting ... must parrot Putin's own narrative. Cannot report what is happening in Ukraine as an 'invasion' ... up to 15 yrs imprisonment. Didn't think I could hate one human being so much as I do Putin! CBC and BBC suspend reporting from inside Russia in face of 'fake' news law, blocking of Western websites https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/russia...cked-1.6372603 The CBC has joined the BBC in saying it will temporarily suspend all its reporting from the ground in Russia after Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill introducing a prison sentence of up to 15 years for spreading information that goes against the Russian government's position on the war in Ukraine. |

That's kind of sad. That reminds me of a video I watched a long time ago on this topic. It tried to challenge you with a different perspective about how nukes can actually keep the world safer. I don't know if I really agree with it, but it does make a fair point. If hypothetically every country had nukes, maybe no one would fk with each other. But then again... That's pretty much America's philosophy on guns, lol. :considered: |
You can always send your nukes before the next guy. Doesn’t make anything more safe. |
Animated map of the invasion - it's going slow but it's going |
|
If every country had leaders sane enough that they could all be trusted with nukes, nobody would need nukes. |
Sky news reporters shot. |

Got off the phone with my grandparents in Odessa Grandma's notes: -Out of all the years and possible wars that may have occured from her growing up as a kid, shes disappointed the people that decided to invade, were her own neighbors -There is no current war in Odessa, it's relatively quiet, can't say the same for other cities, she does not even want to turn on the TV to see what's going on, it's horrific to think it's reality -The borders are insanity, people that have cars, have up to days waits to cross due to the backlog to Moldova, etc -There is still power and utilities in Odessa, once again, she can't say the same for other cities, her friends in Mariupol have not had water/power for some time My mom's brother: I asked him if people are leaving Ukraine, are they handing out firearms -Sounded like most are sticking around as there is no immediate threat, those who have a car, and or are able to leave are. Mostly women and kids. Those who are 18-60 males, are not allowed to cross borders, unless you have medical or "made up" excuses to leave -Firearms aren't being "handed out" per say, but you can go to certain "depot's" and get one if needed Grandpa: -Watches alot of YouTube from both sides, Russia/Ukraine and makes up his own opinions as to what is going on -Made jokes about how when I was a kid, and my mom dragged me back to Ukraine for the summer, the first 3 days that I arrived, there was no water or power in our building, and how that was just a normal occurance x times per year. - Furthermore I commented on how people in Canada/USA would have a temper tandrum if they did not have water / power for a span of 1 hour, not to mention days. My grandpa followed up with a local joke "Americans can't fight without pampers" while he coughed up several chuckles -Not much to do, but that's okay, we will make it by, as long as the war does not make it to Odessa, we will be fine. We can still buy groceries, got a chicken and a couple kalbasas today |

Also supports the post I made on the first page of this thread - people are going to live their lives to the best of their ability. Unless there's a tank rolling through your actual house, or a missile fired at it, you're going to live on. |

How's that legal though? It's like Iran taking trump towers because they say it's legal? |

Iran can very well take trump towers if their laws allow it. It's part of the risk of doing business in other countries. The flip side is if a country takes your shit, you're likely to never want to have anything to do with that country again. |
Fucking morons. Zelensky had a call with US senators, Ukraine specifically asked everyone on the call not to share shit on social media, for security reasons real or perceived. Two republican senators proceed to do so anyway, DURING the fucking call. https://thehill.com/homenews/senate/...spite-requests But I guess if your party allows heckling the POTUS while he speaks about his dead son, anything is fair game. |
