Tamara Lich one of the principal organizers of the so-called “Freedom Convoy” protest, has been released on bail. Lich has been in custody since her arrest on Feb. 17, when police shut down the three-week anti-COVID mandate and anti-government protest.
The conditions of her bail include a $25 thousand bond and she must leave Ottawa in 24 hours and Ontario in 72, only returning for court matters.
Lich must keep in contact with police, and she cannot contact any fellow convoy organizers or take part in protests over COVID mandates. Her social media activity will also be limited in an effort to prevent contact with protestors and organizers.
On Feb. 22, Lich was denied bail, with the judge saying she believed there was a substantial risk Lich would either engage in illegal activity around the protests or counsel others to do so. There were also suspicions around the source of Lich’s finances and the money to put up a bond for her bail.
Last week, she argued for a review with a new surety. She also accused the judge who denied her bail of bias, citing her unsuccessful run as a federal Liberal candidate in 2011.
Lich is charged with counselling to commit mischief.
The judge overseeing the bail review hearing said he would render a decision Monday.
Didn't she already violate the "Don't contact any convoy organizers" portion just stepping out of the building to all her convoy supporters... I'm sure some of them were involved in the organizing lol
wouldn't that trigger a warrant for her arrest?
do we have bounty hunters in canada?
No. The local cops pick up warrants. Some cities will have a fugitive return team or units that target people with warrants.

Damn ... rumours has it a trucker convoy is going to Victoria this weekend ... what the hell for ??!! No masks already and no vaccine passport soon.
B.C. premier tells trucker convoy planning to occupy Victoria to ‘get a hobby’ https://globalnews.ca/news/8677671/j...rucker-convoy/
Just about to leave for work and news pops up saying truckers convoy planned for highway 1 today starting at 7am at 200th st, Langley, heading west to protest high gas prices. They say theyre bot affiliated with other convoys.
I'm off to work now so I'll dodge this crap. Hopefully they dont fuck shit up for everyone by driving 20km down the highway... So yeah, perhaps check road conditions befire you take off for work.
I can only picture it as waking up, play some Farmville, paint your toenails, read your own palm, maybe sniff some glue or boil some shampoo, do some LARPing in your back yard, and then hit up a convoy to fill your day, then go to a bonfire and circle jerk each other about how your doing good for canada
