This time it bit me in the ass.

I walked the property as i was in the area, booked a month through one of the staff, price was 100$ less than booking online.

I decided to stay an extra month here, so i talked to the owner of the hotel about another room. He told me it was 960$USD, but online was showing 820$USD through airbnb (place was offering a discount for first time booking)
I showed the 820$USD screenshot to the owner over whatsapp chat figuring they would honor it. And the slimy fuck removed the discount within 30 minutes, then the price changed to 1060$USD on all websites.
What a fucking tool. I folded and paid the 960$ anyways, because other options in the area were worse.
:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Yeah.. when creating a new listing on Airbnb it always automatically checks the box to give a 10-20% discount for the first booking. There's a lot of pages to click through when creating the listing so it's easy to miss it.

If they do it’s almost always substantially cheaper to rent directly from someone as opposed to going through airbnb, and if they have good reviews on airbnb I would t hesitate to deal with someone directly

Yup, found a place on AirBnb, posted the description into Google and found it in Booking.com. Much cheaper.
