Free thanks? I did another 8 person dinner. I spent $100 this time and my friends probably spent similar or sub $50. Tho that said, I probably make the least, but I wanted to do something to give thanks to my friends.

Per Gerbs' recommendation, I went to Beefway Meats on Kingsway. Decent shop. $19.99/lb for Denver, $23.99 for NY, and $24.99 for Ribeye. I purchased 2 of each and got about total of 4lbs. The Denver was the most surprising. Despite it being the cheapest cut, it had pretty decent marbling with a good fat to meat ratio. A little thicker, but solid candidate for the sous vide. The NY was by far the worst. Never again. Ribeye was solid as usual, but a little too thin. The meat did smell a little sus but I purchased it shortly prior to closing. Tasted fine.

Oh I’m sure I’ll get taken to the cleaners by tiny if I did such a thing. She would fight for spousal support and she’d keep the house. I’d move into a tiny tiny little apartment with my mistress / cocaine bear and be back to a standard of living that was from 2000.

Famous Foods is our usual go to for beef. Grass fed rib roast was only 13ish per lb over the holidays. Doesn't take a genius to reverse sear either so always happy with how it turns out.
