It's interesting that I just happened to see the following ad for a Golf R from Capilano Volkswagen today: https://img.sm360.ca/images/promo/ca...7432666215.png It adds up to ~$855/month tax included. Yes I know it's a Golf R vs Badhobz's GTI. But that higher powered AWD drivetrain + bigger front brakes are basically amounting to the extra $355/month. I'd be too cheap to lease the Golf R over the GTI lol~ Quote:

It’s probably the best performance bargain right now. Everything else is more Expensive. Although I don’t think the golf rrrr is worth it over the GTI as a simple tune can easily make the GTI the same hp/torque. You just lose out on the AWD and their additional drift mode. The gti already comes with adaptive suspension and other spicy bits from the R. But it’s 44k vs 63k out the door. So I’m getting my little hatch tinted today and I walked over to Honda to try the Si’s shifter. It’s way wayyyyy more snickity and precise vs the vw one. Like a world of difference…. But then he’s like these are 780 bucks a month. Yeah no thanks. For a slower car, 280 bucks a month. That’s just dumb regardless of that shifter https://i.postimg.cc/xjGpLPZq/IMG-8878.jpg |

I'm pretty sure premium is required on the GTI too... |
It's a lease you can run it on water:joy: |

Well yeah, it's smart enough to protect itself if the octane is lower than what is required. Doesn't mean it's good for it lol, especially if you go WOT. |

Golf R makes 450 with a $500 dollar tune. Shits ready to do some DIGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS |
This little shit is a riot ! I just filled it up today and so far it’s 600+kms on this tiny tank. The light came on and it only took 37 litres before the gas handle trigger popped. https://i.postimg.cc/7PWSKDHC/IMG-8897.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/52cLM3Fb/IMG-8896.jpg |

My mk7 sportwagen was regular as well. But that was the 1.8 ea888. This is the 2.0 ea888 4th version. I thought the compression would be higher |
good guy vw, tune maps for both regular and premium fuel. |
New Daily work truck - 2024 Ram big horn sport package, the blue with black finishing details looks so good in person. Interior is awesome and tons more room than my old ford escape (duh), really nice for the kiddos with 2 car seats. Holy shit the gas mileage though :ohgodwhy: Through my first 1000kms I'm averaging 16L/100 and that's full break in all hwy for the most part. 5.7 ltr V8 with E-Torque is peppy but a pig. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...aa1127fc_z.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d9c84669_z.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...f0cdc193_z.jpg |
That screen intergration is interesting. |

Full throttle around town, the 3.6 never got worse than 13L/100km The 5.7 is just a pig, it never got better than 10L highway in the Charger. 15 combined would be my expectation for the Ram |

It makes the V6 feel like a V8 with the 100lbft boost, completely imperceptible stop start as well. Heard the V8 one was a bit glitchy in 2019 but they’ve since made it work well too. |
Just lettin her get up to operating temp (@westcoast_RS if you wanna hear it) https://i.ibb.co/0hnpL36/IMG-9661.jpg |
