I'm not saying don't buy made in China wheels (or at least I wasn't) simply pointing out that the alibaba wheels aren't reps of reps. They just are said reps (apex) that aren't coming in an apex box. |
so what youre saying is.... just buy the alibaba "apex" cuz its the same shit. who wants to get in on this with me?!?! Dbone??:alonehappy: |
|
Friend of mine got some pretty nice forged 19" wheels from Alibaba, and is super happy with them. I believe hey were 19" 5x112. |
I yet to see a set of "fake" wheels explode and kill anyone. You also cant convince me a length of stainless pipe for M3 exhuast costs 7 times more than the length of pipe on a civic. |

Still though, the essence of these apex reps is they are built to the standard of a decent wheel with just stolen designs. That's why so many people use them. They aren't trash reps, they are just cheaper then the real thing. |
I only buy AAA+ Reps |

There's big a difference between full-out fakes that fake the brand as well (ie "BBS" wheels off Aliexpress) and reps where they copy the design and just make it differently (ie Rota Grid). The difference between reps and "legit" wheels is much smaller and not as significant. iirc an Aussie news channel did testing a few years back and the fakes were super sketch but the reps were fine. If you're hitting something hard enough to break the spokes you've got bigger problems. I know some people get sniffy about rep brands copying designs, but some of them come out with their own designs as well, and if you do some digging even most of the "legit" brands have copied designs from other companies. |

^ that's exactly what I mean, dig through the catalogues and release dates and all those expensive brands have copied designs from others. Quote:

So a homage then |

Wheel 1: 5 cracks, 2 micro cracks, 1 bend Wheel 2: 1 large crack, 2 micro cracks, 2 bends I took it to Greens and they were like... ...These are non repairable LOL That said, I wouldn't trust it anyway even if it was repaired. |
konig has come a long way from the early 2000s. sure they still have a crapload of ugly ricer wheels but they also have some really nice tasteful ones with aerodisc options. |

You parked awfully close to that M2 bruh... definitely shaded in that spot toward it anyway, asking for trouble!!! |
He parked next to me lol. It was a quick in and out for me, didn’t bother picking a good spot cuz the lot was empty. All the free spots and he parked next to me and gave me the finger guns. I can see why he picked that spot but why did he not hug the yellow?!?! |
^ you left yourself open. I would have hugged the yellow as the first car there instead of leaving both sides open. |
Parking next to a pedestrian walkway isn't always the safest either. The same ppl that can't see things when driving tends to walk into things as well. It's fucking ridiculous |
That is why driving a beater or a car you don't care about as a daily is awesome. |
