i gotta with mike. not a fan of those fruit sponge cakes, or even the ones with mango layered on top that everyone loves. asians like their barely sweet, light tasting desserts that have zero decadence.

Theirry is just a bag of sugar disguised as a cake.

I get my cakes from Melo, it's been my go to for the last few years.

Macrons either from Laduree or Salty Sugar. I haven't tried Salty Sugar's cakes yet because the kids can't have them, but one day.

For Asian style cakes, this is the spot guys. Not St.Germain, Not Janice or La Patisserie or any of those bakery places. Gary's is hands down the best cake I've had in Vancouver. Tried their Mango cake once at a party, have never looked back. https://maps.app.goo.gl/t4gFWxd5s1xqmu6a8

Do you mean a lot of restaurants don't have it? Yeah, quite uncommon to find...

Maybe if you go to a specialty dessert shop.

Or just find it in the frozen section at your local Asian grocery store.
