Ditto on consumables - You'd be surprised to see the price discrepancy is not too wide of a margin.

Used a Dyson DC39 for 10+ year and was still able to get about a third or a quarter of the value off FB marketplace. I've since upgraded to another Dyson and paired it with a Shark Rocket; mainly for the front door since the puppy was bringing home too much debris from walks. I must say those stick vacuums are pretty darn convenient. If I had cash to burn, I would've opted for one as a primary, but too many stories of the battery dying prematurely.

That’s why you buy dysons from Costco. I’ve returned my v15 twice now. First time it just died and refused to charge. Second time the trigger wouldn’t stay on while held.
Easy peasy.
