Uhhh not nearly as much as the old Maserati but that’s probably because I’m decrepit now.
I get a lot of middle aged white dudes giving me the thumbs up though. They all look like evil dentists or unlicensed gynaecologists out to ruin uteruses.
The days when I used to get mainlander skanks hitting on me at gas stations are over… now only punneet and her fellow untouchables at the full serve gas pumps ever bat an eye lid.

I have a feeling what's happening is the heat is jammed at max and forcing the ICE to stay on. I have the HVAC set all the way down to 17C and it's always roasting inside the cabin. | Yep - yesterday I shut off the HVAC completely for about 40 minutes' worth of running random errands.
Avg 8.6L/100km!
Seems like I'm on the right track!

Totally guessing, but I would assume that the heating system is extracting thermal energy from a heat exchanger on the engine coolant loop.
So if whatever temperature sensor is perpetually reporting "too cold", I think the HVAC system will continuously request the ICE to cycle on and increase coolant temp. Normally you could just coast on residual heat in the coolant loop while the engine's off.

i believe toyotas hybrid system still pumps out heat when the ICE is off.
when im waiting in the car in park, the ICE will turn off and a consistent amount of heat will still be pumping out for 7-10mins before the ICE turns back on.
another example, when taking the ferry i usually just chill in the car. 45mins into the trip it starts getting chilly so ill turn on the car, ICE fires up quickly then turns off and i still get heat coming out for 7-10mins before the ICE fires up again.

I had the wheels from the Mazda3 refinished since white wouldn't have looked right on this car. The stock wheels have X-ICE on them for winter. Quote:
