Happy for Myers, he'll be part of a competitive team, all the best. Hope he has a good long run in the playoffs. Character guy overall.

The San Jose Sharks and Vancouver Canucks have swapped young defenders.
The Canucks have acquired Jack Thompson from the Sharks in exchange for Jett Woo, the teams announced on Thursday.
Thompson spent the season in the AHL where he recorded 12 points with the Barracuda. He has played in 34 NHL games throughout his career with both the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Sharks, recording four goals and six assists. The 23-year-old was selected in the third round of the 2020 draft.
Woo, 25, has 26 games for the Abbotsford Canucks this season where he scored one goal and registered seven assists. He appeared in 22 playoff games and recorded one goal and five assists with a plus-8 rating in the Canucks' run to becoming Calder Cup champions last year. The Manitoba native was selected in the second round of the 2018 draft.

Is Brock at $7.25M/yr tradeable? Or would Canucks need to eat salary? He is in yr 1 of 7 with a NMC for 4 yrs ! But I think he would want out if there was something

I highly doubt that any team's GM would want DeBrusk. I agree with 68style.
13 goals from a player getting paid 5.5 million US per year on a seven year contract is an underachieving player. Soft as butter. Soft as Charmin toilet paper hahaa.

Kane and Blueger are unrestricted free agents. Maybe Allvin is working hard to try to trade either player before today's deadline?
Blueger has missed about three months of games because of injury.
What can Allvin get for trading Blueger? Maybe a third round pick?

Maybe that's one reason to still play hard in a tanking team instead of mailing it in. Play your way out of the team and make other teams want you.

If Allvin can somehow find a team that wants Petey AND EP40 is willing to waive his no trade clause, this would be like Allvin pulling a rabbit out a magician's hat haha.
-definitely would be some salary retention for the Canucks IF Allvin can find a team that wants Petey and EP40 waives his no trade clause.
$11.6 million US per year for an underachieving centre haha.

Some big moves so far:
1. John Carlson out of WSH to Anaheim
2. Lightning pick up Corey Perry for a reunion ... he's always a bridesmaid when it comes to SCF
3. Nick Foligno goes to Minny ... reunites with brother. Chi did him good. Minnie is doing really well ... Quinn Hughes trade a real positive for them.
