If you wanted a SVJ back then, anyone could walk in and get a SVJ with 0 history.

Ferrari does it even with their "normal cars".... Oh you want F12? Have you owned our mid-engined V8? Oh you havn't? You can start with the Califor I mean Portofino ... and see me in 2 years....

Remember you are after F12, not limited, maybe "limited" by production cycle time before they retool for the 812.... etc etc

Remember Badhobz was turned down for trying to buy a Roma and that is with a Gran Turismo + maintenance with the dealer $$$$$, I dont blame people for getting turned off, I can imagine the buying experience is pretty horrible, and you are suppose to be the top 0.1%

Is FoV this difficult, is this true for an 812?

Ferrari of Seattle let my friend buy a 812 for their first car, no prior Maserati/Ferarri history.

Was he an iNflucanc3r?

AstulzerRZD 07-17-2025 10:08 AM

Not rly, somewhat influential in car community but only because he owned a DIY garage with lifts/tools for rent

bcrdukes 07-17-2025 10:22 AM

so, baller and influencer :troll:

Badhobz 07-17-2025 10:24 AM

i got turned down cuz 1) i only had a maserati and 2) roma was brand spanking new at the time... like there was an actual waitlist for it.

and last was probably cuz i wore kirkland shit into a ferrari dealership.

This should have been your way in to bypass the riff raff for an allocation! :speechless:

I still can't imagine they did this to hobz :lawl:

yes bunch of retards. Soured me on the entire ferrari ownership experience. honestly my maserati purchase experience was fantastic, they treated me like a king.

I heard recently you can just walk in there and they'll sell you a new roma like nothing. Whatever, im over owning these cars. Dont care anymore. Rather buy a yacht.

JDMDreams 07-17-2025 10:54 AM

There can't be a wait-list, I've literally only seen 2 Roma's since they came out. I see way more bentaygas, dbx, gt3s, McLaren than new Ferraris, I see urus at least once a week.

Badhobz 07-17-2025 11:03 AM

ive seen a few in richmond... it is the entry-level ferrari as harvey says, so they lose money like a rock. Wouldnt make sense to buy a roma for clout when its not as "sporty" looking as the f8, or whatever.

An acquaintance mentioned to me earlier this year in January that he bought a Maserati MC20 coupe during this past winter.

-said that he got a discount on the MC20.

-bit of a surprise to me and some friends who knew this baller that he bought a Maserati.

That guy kept saying that he was going to buy a 911 Turbo S.

Then boom! He buys an MC20 instead of the Porsche.

-not that impressed with the MC20’s engine.

3 litre Twin turbo V6. 621 hp.

Maybe he likes the butterfly doors on the MC20.

I'm curious why he didn't like the horsepower on the MC20? 621hp is a lot of power and for sure can only use a fraction of it on Renfrew and East 1st Ave. :p

I mean in my last post that I'm not impressed with the twin turbo V6 setup with the engine. -not about the horsepower.

Maserati could not go with a V8 engine for the MC20? :considered:

Badhobz 07-17-2025 11:44 AM

im sure he got a major discount on it. they cant even give these things away.

When the mc20 is barely 200k, and a lousy base model beetle is 220k, which one would you pick?

bcrdukes 07-17-2025 11:45 AM

I drive an economy-based inline 4 and live in the poorest postal code of Canada. What would I know?

Harvey Specter 07-17-2025 11:47 AM

I got an 12Clindri allocation with no prior buy history. Only the limited models are hard to get and ever since Ferrari went public, they’ve focused more on profits and less on exclusivity. They’re pumping out models like crazy.

JDMDreams 07-17-2025 11:48 AM

What's the poorest postal code? East Hastings and main? But you also Porsche owner

bcrdukes 07-17-2025 11:50 AM

The Porsche is only in my head because I have mental illness and tell myself I own one.

Should have gone in double watch, Patek on one wrist and Rollie on the other

Badhobz 07-17-2025 03:39 PM

I don’t like that snooty shit anymore. I just don’t care about cars. Even if I had one, it wouldn’t bring much joy, very whoopiee dooo.

trollface 07-17-2025 03:50 PM

I mean it looks 100X better than a 911

JDMDreams 07-17-2025 04:04 PM

I wonder how cheap you can get a mc20 for? $150?

Badhobz 07-17-2025 04:25 PM

It’s not the entry price I’m worried about. It’s keeping that piece of shit alive. I got a feeling Maserati is going to go tits up any day now. They are already talking about selling it.

So is a 1992 Corolla DX. It’s not a very high bar to clear.

My dad went through a boat phase and after dealing with the BS of a boat you'll wish you had a ferrari, much cheaper to maintain! Nothing fucks up machines better than seawater. Truly an endless money pit!
