cuz you need 4 doors and da piggy nose!

i dont know which i hate the looks of more, the current m2 or the pig nose. Its all so hard.

So far my car shopping came to these few contenders to replace hitlerbox + camry... i think its probably time to get rid of the camry too.

Toyota Sienna loaded to the tits : 1600 a month (fuck you toyota)

Lucid Air : they got some promo going on right now, lots of cash on the hood. 1100 a month

Pig nosed m3 in green + tan interior to make it look like my dear departed alfa quad that i never got a chance to own: 1600 a month

Lucid Gravity: not released yet, so i might wait for this and see how it goes since im on a mini van spreeeeee (no thanks to mikoyan and his honda Odyssey that made me lust even more for a van)

We've never met, but I don't know if you'd like the M3. Unless you have visions of the Nordschleife or at least the Ridge/Area 27 the suspension will piss you off after being in your LC.

G35 priced well though

I think kids have way more selection now than when I was a kid. Hondas like a Prelude, Civic sir, Integra GSR, RSX, Accord etc... Only thing expensive is the insurance.

When I was a kid golden era hondas were still new. If you wanted used, you can get American muscle, but that was about it.

You’re absolutely right. Hence the mini vans are the way to go.

What would be the Audi equivalent? Maybe the SQ5?

Do you think the pig nose looks good? I honestly don't. The rest of the car is ok, if not a bit overstyled. Styling is subjective though. I think the G80 is darker colours is passable, I've softened my stance for "hate it" to "it's not good looking"

The T hybrid is only on the GTS, the S has the GTS motor from 992.1 so you can put a manual on it. The Carrera T really needs the S engine imo for it to be worthwhile.

I would wait till year two of the Gravity before getting it.

The G80 honestly isn't that bad in comfort mode. it's just a really fast 3 series. Put some CC3 on it and Hobz will be happy as a clam.

2010-2015 was a golden era

S2000's - $10-20K
Prelude - $1-7k
GSR - $4-6k
RSX / Type S- $1-4K
Accord V6 - $1-15K
240sx - $500

The above cars don't really exist anymore, because nobody will pay $10-40K+ for a 200-300,000KM one.

Price wise that's exactly right and the SQ5 is larger, WAY faster, probably cheaper to run, and the engine is much nicer. Plus instead of feeling like a poser Porsche nerd, you're a baller Audi guy.

The Lucid Air while amazing, is similar in spirit to the LC.
There old school GTs that are also great to drive.

The ID buzz or G80 would be a substantially different experience.
What about the new M5 touring?

Sir have you checked the used prices on these?????????

A Prelude goes for $10-15K! Or more for a SH etc.

A Civic SIR is similar, if it's not clapped out to death and on its last legs.

RSX starts at 5K for one with 300,000KM on it.

Integras might as well be made out of gold with how much they cost.

Accords are cheap... if you don't want a V6 manual.

EDIT: Suggestion for Hobz - Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 are leasing for like 699(?) a month for a year if you want a short term stopgap.

Sienna waste of money leasing, just buy it cash if lease rate is that much.
My vote is pig nose BUT in automatic. If it's too uncomfortable the M340i is quite decent as well.

It's like a pug, you revolt when you first see it then you eventually think its cool. You can get the CSL grill which does help soften the pig nose lol

It's fine cuz it's been in EU for a couple years.
They just took a minute to release the long wheelbase version.

Did I tell you the Ody has paddle shifters for some reason? Sport mode lets it sit in a quasi Manual mode. Using them in normal give you 10 seconds in manual mode.

Obviously different people will have different preferences, but I've driven the 4-banger Macan on many occassions, and found it to drive/handle noticeably better than the Q5. The suspension tuning is a lot more athletic without being harsh (unless you are on the ridiculous 21" wheels). And somehow the drivetrain seems more alert / responsive to the Q5 as well.

I suppose you can call me as a badge snob for Porsche. But I honestly find their cars to be more a lot more engaging than Audi's. (I have yet to drive a TT or TTRS.)

I'm surprised you'd say that!

Back in the golden era, it wasn't just Hondas that were fun. Off the top of my head, these were all the fun / cool cars from the era that weren't too expensive (when brand new):

Honda: Civic, Integra, Prelude, RSX
Toyota: Celica
Nissan: Sentra SE-R, 240SX
Mazda: 323 / Protege, Miata
Subaru: 2.5RS

Even the domestics had some fun stuff:

Ford: Escort GT (shared platform with 323 / Protege), Probe, Mustang
Chrysler: Neon
Chevrolet: Camaro

VW: Golf, Corrado

Bimmers start to get expensive, so I won't count them in.

Nowadays, the only affordable fun car I can think of are the GR86 / BRZ and Miata. Almost everything else became boring to drive.

My only counterpoint is that back in the day, non-sporty cars REALLY sucked to drive.
That's no longer the case now... when even a Camry drives pretty sporty.

A few cars from each brand I've had fun driving, priced similar to Civic Si:

Toyota: GR86
Subaru: BRZ
Nissan: 400Z (9-10k factory incentive)
Mazda: MX-5
Ford: Mach-E GT, Ecoboost (S650 drives good now), and GT (49k with employee pricing)
FCA: last model year Giulia, Charger Daytona
VW: Hobz' GTI was 500/mo

Honestly, I didn't believe the S650 would be good because my S550s were TERRIBLE.
Absolute garbage suspensions, transmissions, etc.

S650 was largely carryover.
Their transmission fixes + suspension retune worked wonders.

im gonna probably hold out for the gravity or wait for the sienna rates to drop. I dont wanna buy it outright because i get a slush fund for a company car, its 1200 a month. whatever i dont use i get to keep so usually i just lease the cheapest piece of shit and pocket the rest. too bad its taxed, so its more like 600 bucks a month.
