EDIT: All joking aside, Toyota dealers act like they're selling GT3RS with every PHEV/Sienna/4Runner/Tacoma they have, it's so annoying and stupid. I refuse to pay the Toyota tax for mediocrely finished vehicles that are selling above MSRP

Edit: oh and another thing that bothered me. I went to ask toyota service department how much it'll cost to do 6 plugs on my 2010 lexus ES. That bitch told me she cant service Lexus vehicles, ill have to take it to lexus. I said its the same bloody engine, same parts, same configuration, that makes no fucking sense. She said they arent allowed to take lexus vehicles if there is a lexus dealership in the automall. Ill have to bring it there. Then i asked her how much it is for the plug service if it was a Camry. she said 460 dollars..... okay so lexus wants 1300 for the same service, you guys only charge 460 dollars and you wont take my fucking money!?!?!?! She said if they did the service, they would have to charge me the exact same rates as lexus and not toyota rates. I told her im going to give her a shitty review and write something to toyota corporate for this bullshit.
I'm going to guess OpenRoad corporate and Toyota/Lexus regional manager doesn't want infighting between the two stores with Lexus customers being serviced at Toyota.
From my understanding, OEMs impose standardized shop rates for their dealers, and Lexus likely has a higher rate which leads to the majority of the price difference (I'm sure there's a larger markup on parts as well).
Would you consider a Honda Passport? The new ones look pretty dope.

I hate everyone. I was so upset at the end of that Toyota run, i went over to beetle haus to take it out on my buddy who recently got a job (ive known him from lexus for over 20 years).
I called him a stinky vagina, a dick face, and his cars are stupid.... hes like oh.... hi...... what did toyota do to you now? (like he knew somehow... he's got a sixth sense with retards)

have you been talking to my wife? I DID roll up in my finest kirkland okay. ... well okay not my finest kirkland, that Kirkland Reserve sweats/hoodie shit im saving for a wedding or a funeral, but it was decent kirkland joggers, some 20 year old pair of geox trash shoes with low cut old man costco socks and a disgusting bench top that i used to crawl around the garage with.
Those 2 cunts at the reception saw me roll out of the ratrolla with this excellent clothing combination and couldnt stop staring at me. Even better at beetle town, i think the reception girl almost fainted at the audacity.

I don't think Honda has been successful in their performance marketing. They used to (or still????) have Honda Factory Performance (HFP) but that sort of fizzled out. Model designation/trims exist with a Type R or Type S. Then for Acura they have their A-Spec or Type-S trims. But nothing otherwise. I don't think they even use Mugen here in the North American market.
I mean, GR Sport actually looks like they gave a damn - it's has SUMMER TIRES, lower, has chassis bracing, struts/springs, etc.
DC Fast Charging is a huge W, tripling the stations you can charge at but gating to XSE/Woodland is kind of an L.
Reviews seem really terrible though, magazines are nice to new releases but everyone is criticizing it for "noisy", "cheap interior", "body roll" and losing to CR-V in Car and Driver/MotorTrend.
I don't even like the CR-V hybrid so the rAV4 must be extra terrible if it's losing.
That looks like a Hotwheels with the abnormally big wheels

The Rav4 has always had terrible NVH, the lower end Toyotas are probably the worst offenders in terms of noisy interiors. When we test drove the Rav4 as an option for when our first kid was coming, you can barely hold a conversation in the Rav4 at 110kmh on No1 highway, you almost had to yell at each other.
I can't imagine how the Rav4 would be like on the concrete slabs they use on I5 going to Seattle.
Can we just agree that all Toyotas have terrible NVH?
They're the worst offender but the Japanese brands, in general, have never been that good at NVH. Bad road noise in Mazda and Hondas have seemed like the norm for decades though they've both gotten a lot better in recent years. I think Toyota gets lit up about it the most because they suck in 3 obvious areas - road noise, cheap materials, and unrefined engines (nobody does unrefined commodity engines like Toyota). At least Honda has refined engines and nice materials while Mazda has really nice materials.
Re: CR-V Hybrid. I dig it. Drove it briefly and liked its Honda-ness and then rode in the back for an Uber ride and it was great. Shockingly quiet in the back (for its class) and that back seat is just massive. Add a pano roof, ventilated seats and 20 more hp and it'd be my first choice in a car.

i dont believe it. Ive had numerous toyotas and the only one with bad NVH was.. was.... THE CRV!!!!
This piece of shit CRV that i owned (bare bones, LX) was the worst stinking car on the highway. like 100000x worse than my corollas. Ive owned numerous corollas and they were all... "okay" for NVH. Not a lexus by any means, but okay for the money.
Now if youre paying 73k for a stupid mini van with that sort of interior materials, or 60k for a RAV4, i think youre getting ripped off.

i think its only more noticeable because the rest of the cabin is so quiet, that horrible, unrefined 4 cylinder just really takes you out of the "luxury" mindset
Lexus is still pretty quiet. The double-pane glass helps, but that engine is garbage sounding. so much so that they are bringing back the v6 on the RX.

Funny you should mention Seattle:
The Prime and Hybrid were ok there but I kept trying to roll up the windows on last gen CR-V.
