Absofukinglutely.

I have ADHD and that was really stressing me out and affecting my physical and mental health. It was 24/7 stress, either on acquiring new clients or how to chase down the money owed by them... Many of my businesses failed and some where successful, but it is nice to not take home your work and give 100% of your mind to the family. It was hard for me to let my mind go and not constantly overanalyze when I was an entrepreneur.

It's a different mindset than driving your car. I get road rage in my own car when facing idiots but when driving the bus I don't give a damn. They can cut me off all day, I get paid by the minute.

You do have some stress I suppose if you need to take a dump real bad and is stuck on the highway. You can't just pull over lay one in the bush.

Also stress free in the sense that you don't take any of your work home with you. Crackhead die on the bus? Who cares, push a button and someone comes deal with it and you get paid OT. Need to go 15 mins OT and drop your bus off for another driver at the end of your shift? Great, here's 2 hours pay.

For all the work I've done, this is by far the least stressful, legit 0 stress, my only regret is not jumping on this ship sooner

already making $4K+ take home after all deductions per month(my last biweekly income is $2091), and that's with the lowest pay tier and almost 0 actual overtime (ie signing up for extra work), I do have OT, but thats legit just driving the bus slow and going behind schedule...

I literally had someone going up Johnson street towards westwood plateau on a blind right curve, he overtook me on double solid yellow and a car flying down the hill..... And he almost died. Just for him to cut in front of me dangerously and pulls into his driveway Not even 5 seconds further up the road.

Dude almost lost his life 5 seconds from his home. Like is it worth it?

Do I care? not really anymore. I just make sure I maintain safety on my bus that's all I can do. Everyone else around me can be dumb. 😂

I think the difference is you are getting paid to drive, vs you want to get somewhere as quickly as possible. It doesn't sound like there's any incentive for them to get anywhere quick. If some one cut them off, oh well.

The mindset is different.

Yesterday on the 345 EB fraser hwy I took half of lane 2 before a merge so ppl don't endlessly cut me off. Traffic was stopped and this guy flies by me maybe 3 inches from my mirror, mis judged and side swipes the car in front of me. I had a feeling he wanted to cut in but was upset I took half the lane and was staring me down as he passed. They turn the corner and pull over to assess the damage, I just slowly drive off. Exactly what you're talking about, incredible what people would do to get in front of a bus and save 5 seconds.

Another thing that blows my mind is how people cuts into the bus lane on the highway without looking to save 10 mins.

In fact, reverse, the incentive seems to be to do it slow! OT pay.

Driver of the bus I'm on now is making me car sick. Harsh stops and hopped a curb taking a right turn. Must be a recent graduate making a late stage career change cuz they ain't young. Get em back in training!
