Back in the day -- say 10+ years ago? -- a typical trip would often include hitting the night life scene the evening before (Friday?), followed by 2 days of tracking. While the night life scene has definitely changed tremendously, and to a certain extent, the motorsports scene has changed as well, I'm sure similar tours are still being organized.

I remember the days that every time I went to a new country I would obsess over how much better it was than Van and start investigating how to move there.

I still get it a little bit, and it's not like Van is the best place in the world... I moved after all... but I think a lot of those feelings are rooted in general unhappiness with position in life/life itself/relationships and thinking that somewhere new is a way to start fresh and everything will be better. I suppose it can be, but if the root issues are not resolved they will just fester and return in the new location.

Let me remind you of the kid in the Mustang that crashed into my parked E46 M3, who's visibly drunk + his friends ratted him out, and the cops still did nothing about it. I agree the legal system needs adjustments for when to let people likely to reoffend out, that's always been the case and takes a long time to reign in because a prosecution and judge can only base things on previous case law, so they need to claw it back inch by inch otherwise people will get off completely as the sentences would not follow precedent set by previous cases.
