Break-ins are super rare anyways - my family's home was broken into in the 80s but I've otherwise never heard anyone in my circle have their home broken into. There's so many other ways to steal from people that's easier - shoplifting, running an eBay scam, stealing parcels etc.

I figured there was more to this story, of course the stupid online rage-baiters used this as some kind of political issue. The two guys knew each other and had a physical altercation with one another days prior, the intruder was essentially the guy's neighbor.

Either way, what a gangster, the intruder had a crossbow and still got fucked up by the residence's knife. I can't imagine clearing that distance on a guy with a crossbow using a damn knife, wild stuff.

Anyone with a fuckin brain knew there was more to that, which is exactly why PP took the angle he did.

Actually, the rage after the assassination was HUGE but I'm shocked how it dropped off like a steep cliff in such a short time. As I alluded to, I was more surprised by the silence than the 'talk' or lingering buzz about him, honestly, in my algorithms, I am not seeing anything ... but then I don't move in that circle so maybe the Christian right is still raging on his martyrdom.

People have a short memory, but especially Americans. No one actually gave a fuck about this guy before he was shot other than rage baited left wingers and incel losers on the right. He was used as rage bait one last time as a proper send off, then when it was realized that it wasn’t going to create the buzz in the way they’d hoped after people started questioning what actually happened on both sides, trump and his lackeys gave their media bum buddies the direction to cool the coverage.

Ok, back from Shanghai.

First of all, fuck you hobz for recommending XTD. Wife asked me to go there to check out to see if there's anything interesting as her eyes turned bright when I said it's a shopping area ppl recommended. The XTD building itself had some younger brands and there wasn't anything interesting other than a cat shop in there which had insanely priced for kittens, but incredibly cute. Overall, geared toward the younger crowd.

Just as I was leaving thinking wallet was safe since it was all younger brand. Wife noticed from Baidu Map that the building across the street (K11) had many major brands. So she asked me to go check it out.

Long story short, I'm a few grand poorer as wife saw a jacket from Yohji Yamamoto online and it just so happen to have a store there. Worse yet, they didn't even have it in stock. But wife ordered it anyway as it's sold out everywhere else.

Then I went to Former French Concession Zone (法租界）this was really nice as the older buildings gave kinda an art deco kinda vibe. Definitely recommended for even just walking around.

Donhai Bridge was ok but I was in the area since I visited the former largest indoor snowdome and the bridge was right there. Once you crossed, there wasn't much interesting stuff. But I guess just to cruise along the bridge was nice if you happen to be in the area. If one has to drive out from Shanghai, which was nearly 2hrs, I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble.

theres a hermes and a chanel in XTD, you gotta walk around a bit, but its within 2 blocks of the hipster mall you probably went to. arrgh you should have just PM'd me.

Either way, i hope you had fun. its a decent place to visit, but i woudlnt wanna live there. Did you like the food? its pretty similar to tawainese food since so many ex shanghainese fled to taiwain to escape crazy old mao.

i dont find my home town all that enjoyable... too snobby and rich for my taste. cant walk around anywhere without running into these social media cunts taking selifes and vlogs. drives me nuts. And worst of all, i cant do anything anti social like swear at people (love doing this in HK), try to trip old ladies, or basically just push idiots out of the way because of the constant surveillance and the social score, which im sure im in the negatives.
