Dale! Baby.
That was a good day for sure, those ladies were pouring bottles down our throats all day, a cocaine filled gong show (I did not partake in that part) 
On a side note, Merida is awesome and was a wicked drive out there from Playa Del Carmen, very much recommend that city. I plan to work remotely there for a month or so later this year.
We ended up off the grid a few times along the way stopping in some villages with no cell phone reception in the middle of nowhere chasing random cenotes, local guys were saying I looked like "Cartel De Santa", I disagreed

Also check out Campeche nearby if you haven't already

Also check out Campeche nearby if you haven't already | My uncle lives in Merida and his buddy who's an ex SAS was telling me that Merida is like The Continental in John Wick, crime doesn't happen there and it's ridiculously safe, the Mexican government essentially mandates it.
It certainly felt like it, cops everywhere, felt VERY safe.
