I know RS is mostly guys and most comments here are from the guys side. I wonder if it's difficult on the girls end as well finding a 'good match' these days?

I think if you don't have a job that would be a deal breaker. Cook, clean, know how to do your own laundry, and know how to take care of yourself is more important IMO.

Sure if you have a fancy car, and make good money that might impress your date, but once you live together and get serious, you will see how fast that shit don't matter.

For sure. One big concern are predators/abusive partners. Ultimately as a woman, they are physically inferior. That's overall the biggest concern.

Wife and I have had a conversation about this ongoing and we still both agree, using apps is the easy way out, but you are also scraping the bottom of the barrel.

We talked about single mothers again, and the safe play would probably be ending up with a guy they've known for a long time. Happens in TV/movies quite a lot and I always thought it was cliche. There is however probably a strong underlying reason why as safety and familiarity is going to be a strong selling point.

With single moms it seems they generally end up with a guy they aren't all that attracted to but the guy provides stability for them and their kid so they deal with it. You're likely not finding the guy of your dreams unless he has kids of his own as well.

You'll see these women on 'girls trips' at a resort or something and yeah, they get overly friendly quick while their man is back home holding down the fort.

LOLWUT?! That could totally have been your "Auntie, I don't wanna work hard anymore" moment! (Please google 阿姨,我不想努力了 if you dunno what I'm talking about )

I had one of those moments waaaaay back in my mid 20's when I still looked young and dashing. But being the idiotly naive 20-something that I was at the time, I totally squandered the moment LOL~

Throughout my dating life, it had never really registered with me how dangerous / risky it is for women to go out on a date with someone. Of course I was aware it happens, but I never had any idea how often it happens because those kinds of abusive behaviour just wasn't something I have come across in my universe. But at some point after I got out of the dating game, the frequency and severity of it started registering, and the risks involved (for girls) really started hitting me hard to the point where I felt like if I was a girl, I'd be scared to go out on dates with total strangers and through online dating apps and what not.

yep, no consequences and free to be whoever you are

best thing we can do is let them be 'free' at home and observe to see if they're any good

Being in the GTA it's really a big difference compared to Vancouver. It's crazy to see how many people you bump into in Van and the dating circle is very small. Now in the TO, you get so so so many more people / about 4X then again, you probably gotta deal with more dudes as well.

What a girl will do is to prove to you that she's worth it... well that's true.. but that's when you already got the 1st date. The issue is not the first date or not, cause by the time you get to the 1st date, you already got a chance.

I think what people is having an issue is when girls are swiping so much. They got so much options it's not even funny. They get so many hits and then the ones they want to hit on, they are also trying to hit on all the good 10/10 guys which they don't qualify.

By the time girls get casted back to reality line... they are 35+ and tons of guys are still waiting.

The problem is who they tell each other to aim for (top 1-3% of guys). This is despite some of them being 6/10 on a good day. The inflated sense of self worth is delusional for so many of them and the apps only exacerbate this. Women get about 10x more attention on apps and this causes them to think there's a sea of options to choose from so why would they "settle".

So they keep chasing that one guy who's better rather than realizing many of the guys they already met would have made an excellent life partner. Eventually, they get to an age where they're now in panic mode because they want kids and the clock is ticking. Women will again tell each other that they shouldn't settle on any of their demands and that time doesn't matter (it very much does). Let me clarify a little here: Yes, it's still very likely to have a kid between 35-40 but the percentage of success begins to decrease while chances of complications increases. Girls beyond 40 can also have kids but it only gets more difficult from this point on.

This is where some of the women giving advice are disingenuous because they know this will only continue to hurt that woman's odds of finding a partner. They are very much willing to sabotage each other if it means better odds for themselves. Think about how often girls will tell their friends what they want to hear rather than objective reality because they prioritize feelings over the truth.

If you manage to find a girl who listens when you call out her bs, she's got a better head on her shoulders than most. Chances are, that one's a keeper. The ones who continue to be delusional in the current market will find themselves alone or doing IVF to have a baby on their own (I've got stories about this too).

In a convo as we speak, girl I am seeing is asking if it's her responsibility to when she's over
- buy groceries sometimes
- help clean
- make food

if she occupies a guys space and she lives at home, but sleeps overs at yours 2-3 nights a week to spend time together. But she's upset the guy wants her to split the bill by covering breakfast/lunch while a guy covers the 2-3x more expensive dinners

If one makes 220k and tbe other makes 100k
If im not mistaken thats an extra 6k in tax return, per year if you combine file
Edit: the above does not seem to apply in BC

I think you also missed the point of twitchy was trying to make, living solo is a big waste of X and Y, when you can share half the costs

Internet, heating, gas, electricity, finish off food, gas getting to places, insurance, one less car, etc, (obviously not all apply depending on your scenario before someone nearly has a stroke on here like usual)

When my gf moved in, i had an extra 1000$+ per month to burn on track days lol, felt goooooooood

maybe, but i think digital consumerism has made these girls more or less the same globally. All a bunch of materialistic and self entitled bitches who view and consume the same content.

Thats why these kpop fags were able to establish a foothold in north america and europe, nobody knows what the fuck they are singing and yet these bitches go insane snagging up tickets and merch.

Like my wifes dumb cunt friend.. shes on track for probably 30k this year worth of BTS concerts. The tickets alone are already 10k+, plus you gotta factor in flights, hotel, food, etc.

All the while she has a busted up bmw with a perpetual check engine light, takes a quart of oil per month, and has a busted up cat because we dont have aircare anymore, so who cares.

Honestly if you had a crazy ass bitch like her for a wife or girlfriend, youre better off single. Nobody wants to see a kpop fag on bedside table, posters of said fag in your bedroom, and having the back of her phone & wallet with this same fucker. Id punch her straight in the throat.

Income splitting doesn't really apply in Canada, unless you're in retirement.

Aside from sharing living expenses, if you're lucky to have a genuine partner who actually cares about your well-being, they're likely going to nag you about maintaining your health and seeing the doctor regularly. Yeah, everyone on RS is tracking their macros and getting blood work every 2 months, but the majority of men as they get older neglect their health. It's even worse when they don't have a loved one nagging them about seeing a doctor, cutting back on the portions, or cutting back on alcohol.

Health is wealth and having a loved one (no, not a dog) who looks out for your well-being can't be measured in dollars and cents.

Yeah I was disappointed to find out there was no tax deduction for being married lolol.

I guess I just realized what donk. is getting at: if your income is different than your spouse's and so you're at different tax brackets, then you could be pooling your income together to fit into lower brackets.

I don't get what that means. I make between 3-5x what my wife does, and not only do I not see any tax benefit, the child care I pay for can only be deducted from her tax.

So how do we pool to get in this lower tax bracket.

Also, CRS blows goats. Fuck their stupid hackable website and garbage account management system.

I take back my previous statement of income splitting, i thought this was valid in BC, but looks like its USA only.

I would still talk to an accountant about rrsp / tfsa splitting, as there may be some room there for you, according to googlez

there's a lot of good girls locally. and I think I could find one at any moment. as my friends would say, I'm only experiencing the delulu one's cause I'm tryna go for the prettiest girls. I will pay the price though at least until I'm 32ish, then be more realistic

difficult in the sense that they want
- taller than them
- health/fit
- non smoker/vaping/occasional drug or weed / non excessive alcohol
- makes more than them masked as ambition
- car (optional if you live in DT)
- solo living (optional for some girls)
- provider + considerate + consistent

^
me?? I want a pretty girl who treats me well, family oriented, makes over $60K, then doesn't have to work after 40.
