Worked on the bike. Changed the plugs to a higher heat range, repacked the pipe with fiberglass matting, cleaned the inside of it and rivited it shut, cleaned the airfilter, checked the pressure in the tires and added a few pounds to the shocks. Also bled the front brakes; put new pads in and inspected the rear shoes. I think she will be ready for riding tomarrow :)

Guess  you can see right away that they are crooked. and if you cant fix something that simple sell the bike and put the change towards actually getting your license. another suggestion why not do a search and see if there is a dirtbike forum for immature idiots like you, maybe join back on revscene when you actually have a car, it being a car forum and all.

i do not agree with many things jennings says, but this being one. Adam you really do not belong here and we don't want to hear about your stupid bikes. And do realize that piece of shit you brought into our class, will never be fixed.. By us anyways, even if it is an easy fix, noone wants to touch it cause it is yours.

whoh... fucking chill. And about the whole car scenario, I'm working on it so shut up about it; I can only do so much with limited funds. Getting a license has been on the "to do" list for quite some time. Not having a birth certificate, getting my photo id stolen, Not having the $ or working such shitty hours I cant get into the icbc office while there open.
And yea, Im not getting it fixed anymore. Putting the $ towards things more importantly needed
edit: this is completely off topic...

what are you using for a engine management system ? in most cases the stock honda map sensor should be able to take up to 10 psi of boost.

if i may just a suggestion you my want to look into a greedy emanagement system add the injector and the ignition harness, with the boost sensor aswell. this system for the money imo is the best option for a stuot street car and with your wideband you should be able to road tune as best as possible then a little time on the dyno your set . also a word of caution after about 15 psi on stock sleeves your playing russian rulet. hope this info help you out happying boosting .

Thanks for the advice, But I already have Hondata with 3 Bar but I am not gongi to use it on this engine. Saving it for the other engine. This engine is sorta a doner engine per say, I am having alot of fun with it, but it's not a big deal if it blows up cause if it does I'll toss my other engien in and do the real management, Thsi engine was jstu to get my car moving for the few months it'd take to assemble the engine. I'm not gonna go any higher then 11psi on tis engine. it's already pretty quick as is, as Honduhman will tell you. I've street tuned with my wideband and been playing with boost retard on my ecu programmers, Ther's not too much more I can do myself with ym AFC. I want to hit a dyno, but the damn highways are snowy to kamloops.. :'(

I am running abotu 12:1 at full boost. Tapers from 13.5:1 to 12:1 from 1-3 psi about, then from there on it's a steady 12. sometiems dips into the 11's. I'm still palying with the datalogging so I can see exactly where to add fuel and what not. Have it set at .75 degree bosot retard.

down_hill_dog
12-28-2004, 08:56 PM
the anti bluish tinge is a good thing... rice is for people in poor countries, and is meant to be of food value.
On a serious note, if both headlights put out the same measured light amount, you will still be able to see better with the white one versus the blue. Same idea of why ski goggles have an amber tinge to them. With the blue it may look like the light travels further, but the part of the road you actually need to see will be brighter with a white light.
And no you cannot bust out "well HID's are all bluey". They only look blue from an angle, dead on or from inside the car, the shade of light you see is probably the whitest you'll ever get from your headlights.

Waylon said that im guessin? all about the heat ranges...a 6500K HID would be more white than some 8000k purple/blue thang (if im off with the 6500k colour im sorry..but ya know, i aint near to being perfect..i fuck up tooooo much)

i'm playing around with mine, +12% at hi throttle and upper rpms seems to pull nicely
and then -5% for some fuel economy under low rpm, low throttle conditions

The box doesn't say stick your foot to the floor and break as hard as you can.
jeffh
02-01-2005, 08:32 PM
no but it does say
Step 1. Seal all brake ducts. Step 2. Slowly engage brakes 6 to 8 times at medium speeds Do not drag brakes or come to a complete stop. Step 3. Increase speeds to simulate race conditions; allow 6 to 8 high pressure (about 500 psi) snubs at racing speeds. Total engagements for Step 2 and Step 3 should be a maximum of 15 to 20. Step 4. Remove brake duct seals. Allow the system to cool for about 15 minutes. Do not engage brakes while car is parked during cool down period
and no one is slamming on brakes.
and i also am not sure how you perform all these motions without making the brakes crazy hot

that is the break in procedure, the brakes should not even be used without doing this first. Whoever advised you to wait doesn't know. Once you complete the steps and let the brakes cool you're good to go.

Interested in a trade?
I think I found somewhere that does decent price rebuilds.
Or I can just find out the place that does it for you:p
Tchleung
02-12-2005, 05:41 PM
I can rebuild it myself it's easy. It's the rebalancing that is needed which not many places that rebuild turbos do. I'm looking into a ball bearing turbo i think
Relic
02-12-2005, 11:04 PM
If it's just a seal that needs to be replaced, then it's real easy to pick up a rebuild kit, pull it apart and replace the seals/bearings.
Just take a look at the compressor nut. If it's ground down a bit then you can tell it was balanced as an assembly and you can just mark the nuts/wheels so you put them back exactly as you took them off. Meaning it'll still be balanced. If the nut isn't ground down at all, then usually that means that they've been balanced individually so they should be good to go back on whatever way.
The hardest part is removing the exhaust housing without snapping the bolts off. The torch is your friend!
Balancing is pretty cheap anyways if you know a place to get it done. It's shipping that costs the most if there's no local place.

Worst comes to worse I jsut reuse the abd turbo so I can atleast move my car around etc and not boost or rev it or anything till I can get moeny to get my new turbo. but FUCK. FUUUUUCCCCCCKKK I could kill someone right now.
don't get to excited just yet, before you plame the turbo just do a couple of checks first if you haven't already , check your oil return line make sure you have good return flow (restricted or blocked) and also that your not pressurizing the crankcase either these can cause oil back up give this symptom seen it alot , hope this helps you if the turbo does need attention leave it to a professional turbo builder with all the wright equipment and tools we don't even fuck with them not worth it get it done wright we have a reputable turbo shop do all ours if you need don't hesitate to call me at the shop i'll get you in contact with them.

Went to PYP with a few buddies and grabbed a few things for my buds lude.
Ended up getting a hood, passenger side quarter window *went through 7 trying to get it :(* covers for the flip up lights, driver quarter panel, passender tail-light, a pair of near new drums, and new looking pistons for the read shoes. Also got 2 of those seals that go between the carbs and the intake manifold. Found a near new cat back exaust which we're getting on wednesday.
oh, cant forget... Got a ricer exaust off of a automatic corolla with a home made body kit on it... its new home is now on the back of a 88 cavalier
well, i think it was a corolla^^^

replaced broken wheel stud
next up, new tie rods, and upper ball joints

got some camber adjustable bolts for my front struts, threw em in.. went to kal tire for a 4wheel alignment....
turns out my rear wheels were toed in 3/4 of an inch... no wonder the tires started cupping and it always cornered like a plow machine
so got the front camber at -0.6 degrees and rear at -1.8 with toe zeroed out....
it feels like a new car now, corners are grippy and almost to the point of a bit of oversteer finally! A lot less of a slug that's for sure

ahh man seriously get some caber/caster plates for up top. camber eccentric bolt are ooogly way of correcting camber. and it sucks if you go to take apart your suspension, casue you loose your alignment
