Hey did anyone watch it tonight? I think it was the first episode. It looked pretty good. I know it's been out for awhile now but i haven't been watching it until today. What do you guys think?

Yeah this show rocks. It's funny cuz I dont really watch alot of television. The only things that I watch is The Simpsons, Dark Angel, sports, and, definately one of my favorite show, Smallville. If Im not around to watch it, I always set my vcr to record it, new episodes of course. But yeah, Lex Luther kicks ass in this show. No one can make him look bad...hes like da man.

seriously though, this has been a great premiere season for smallville...i've enjoyed pretty much all the episodes thus far and am hoping they keep up the good work! :) the only question i have is: why does WB keep showing one new episode to every two reruns?!? :confused:

I loved tonight's episode. IMO Smallville is at its best when it deals with family relationships with a little bit of foreshadowing of the future thrown in.

i really liked this episode as it was a story about family and loyalty. hrrrm...is it just me or is lana's character really bland? she's got no depth and her acting is always the same. don't get me wrong, i still think she's kute...but chloe's characters got alot more oomph! and the way things are going, it looks as if chloe and clark are going to get together before lana and clark do....hrrmmmm ;)

That's the shimmer episode again..by far the best episode imo . The character Lana was not made solely for smallville. From the comics, it said before Lois, Clark Kent's first love was Lana lang from his hometown of smallville, who he NEVER got (so sad to know they never hook up :( )
About Chloe, she's super hyper! So energetic, even in real life! I saw this Star special on smallville and in her interview, she sounded just like her character!

I thought Clark never ends up getting Lana? Yeah, Lex is such a wicked character right now in smallville. I'd love to see an episde where clark and lex go down their different paths...but I doubt smallville will reach that. :(

As I said in the other thread.. don't like the plots all that much cause the premise is all the same.. all has to do with Kryptonite being the culprit.. geez please think up some different storylines.. wonder how Clark & Lana will eventually get together.. Whitney is still lin the way.

thats interesting. I'm a big Smallville fan and check out their fan sites from time to time. I read this whole article about Nicodemus with all this info about her body double and everything. Maybe they were refering to the double as stunt double and not particularily for that pool scene. Well if you know the source then that answers that one

Yeah well, because of Whitney's dad's death, she is sort of forced to stick with him for now.. she can't go ahead & tell Clark the way she feels.. we all know that she couldn't stand to see Clark grab Chloe's hand..

That was a great scene: such sadness and longing in all their gazes. And more acting depth to Lana than her usual bouncy cheerleader persona.

If anything Lana is the one to blame. She obviously knows Chloe likes him, yet Lana she never truley expressed how she feels about Clark. She wants him but she doesn't admit it. Chloe has loved Clark from the start, it's just that Clark likes Lana. So ofcourse Chloe is gonna be upset, because she'd do anything to be with him. Lana plays hard to get with Clark, she doesn't even know what she wants. Yet Clark is whipped by her, when he knows that there is a person that would do anything for him. But Clark just uses Chloe and doesn't have any interest in her.

And Chloe didn't give Lana a dirty look, she was just hurt because Clark likes Lana, and she feels sad because Lana gets more attention than her and it hurts for her to see them together because she knows they like eachother. Can you really blame Chloe? I mean she's been trying to get with Clark this whole time, and Lana doesn't even have to try and she gets way more attention from Clark. I'd be upset too. It's not like Chloe is an ugly girl either. She's pretty hot.

On a sidenote, I think Chloe knows Clark's secret. Couple epis ago, she found out. at the end, she seemed to have amnesia of what happened. Then how come Pete didn't have amnesia. I know pete knows the secret, but I mean the details of what happened.

And the "Visage" episode at the end, when she found out Whitney was dead, she said that she didn't care about his secrets, that she never wants to loose him and he is one of the only good things in her life. Lana was going to go on a date with him after that episode, but Clark screwed things over, because Pete had the parasite in him, and used the red kryptonite to control him. Lionel poisioning Lex. Lex is betrayed by his bodyguard. In the end it's not great because it's showing Lionel as trying to erase Lex's memory. Strange news, Lex's discovers Clarks secret, however it's unsure if the treatment Lex's is taking will make him forget about Clark's secret. You also get to know why Lionel wanted to have Lex take Phyciatry (Sp off.) Oh and with the Clark thing, what's Lana's last name? Lang right? Could be another member of her family, or she possibly could change her first name *shrugs*
