Bestbuy has it on their website and I'm pretty sure FS would as well. Amazon.ca and Dell.ca at some point will probably have it. Only downfall is you gotta wait for shipping although sometimes they ship them a bit earlier and you receive it day of release or a couple after. If not then usually a week after release.

It depends how much you really love collecting these collector items because you certainly can't look at this pair of night vision goggles being good. If you love collecting this stuff then the price tag is worth it I guess otherwise no. I rarely put out the money for collectors cause the items usually suck balls like the Halo Helmet. Only 2 times I've paid more is the GTA 4 since it was only $20 more I think and got a bag which I use all the time, safety deposit box which I thought was pretty cool and use all the time. As for the art book and shiet I can care less though. The other time I paid a bit more and got the Lancer Gun lol cause I thought it was pretty sweet to have.

I don't play mass amounts of FPS games but I love CoD MW, the bonuses for streaks and weapon customization/perk customization are sweet, and the challenges are quite a bit of fun. There's also a massive variety of games modes to choose from.

I have the FragFX. Not the V2. The one I have fees like an optical mouse you buy from the dollar store. Plastics cheap, sensitivity could be better, the buttons get jammed often.

I've used my FragFX for MAYBE a total of 2 hours of gameplay. When I compared it to my PC, PC is far superior for FPS imo.

I've seen pics of the V2, it looks the same to me. Same cheap plastic, same cheap buttons...HOPEFULLY they upgraded the sensitivity adjustment.

Either way, the FragFX is a huge improvement for me over the regular controller.

In a weekend podcast with BashAndSlash.com, Infinity Ward's creative strategist Robert Bowling said that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will not have dedicated servers, a revelation that caused an uproar among PC gamers.

Activision-owned Infinity Ward has been working on a multiplayer backend called IWNet, which will provide match-making "just like you have on consoles" for Modern Warfare 2 PC players, Bowling said. "We're building in our own match-making so you can get in there and play with players your same rank."

He added, "You're completely reliant on IWNet, and there are no dedicated servers or server lists." Bowling said that PC gamers will still have the private match option where players can customize game rules, and invite people to their p2p server.

In effect, gamers in the PC community will not be able to run Modern Warfare 2 on dedicated servers that they may rent, as they are able to with previous Call of Duty games. Other concerns that PC gamers have expressed on message boards and blogs regarding no dedicated servers include possible lag issues and unsatisfactory match-making.

In addition, no dedicated servers likely means that IWNet will not support mods and custom maps for the game, at least at launch. Mods are an aspect of PC gaming that helps keep a game's community going for a relatively long period of time. "I know the team has huge plans for what IWNet will turn into, and this is just the beginning," Bowling said. At launch, however, IWNet is mainly focused on match-making.

Bowling admitted that he wasn't totally up to speed on further specifics of IWNet, as it's a "code-heavy" topic. Gamasutra attempted to contact Bowling this afternoon, but did not receive a reply as of press time.

The revelation prompted a strong response from PC gamers who were anticipating the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the latest release in a franchise that originated on PC. One common example of PC gamer response can be seen on Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 PC forum:

Good points. I just hope they have full steam integration (steam cloud and VAC protection confirmed, i hope they let you activate retail key into steam). Honestly it's pretty disappointing losing dedicated servers (IW fucking rocked it with CoD4 ), mods i could care less but i guess most the serious gamers are on PC so i can see why they're pissed

How will that actually affect my online game play? what's the difference between having dedicated server and no having them for an average player?

This means you have no control over the server (mods, rules etc.) and your connection is dependent on the person hosting the match. Also it's going to be impossible to have a game with more than 6-8 people as the lag will get unbearable.

The biggest problem for me is I enjoy joining the same server and playing with roughly the same group of people when I play (but also have the option to play with new people). Eventually you get to know the people you play with and this is what creates a game community. With matchmaking you CAN play with your friends but you have to create a "party" beforehand making it harder to generate any kind of new, expanded community.

I don't want to join a random game with new random people each time in a smaller game with unreliable connections. This is the reason I don't ever play Halo as I got sick of the disconnects and overall aggravation with asshats that you get matched with (on a dedicated server you can have rules and admins can boot the idiots).

I'm the opposite of you, I hate the PS3 controller. I can never play anything on it. I prefer the weight and feel of the 360 controller, it feels so much better in my hands haha.

If my PC was up to date I would get it for my PC. Even though I like the 360 controller, I can rape anything and anyone with a KB/Mouse.

I can still never seem to be able to reach all the buttons properly, although it's a big improvement over the massive original XBox controllers :lol I was so surprised when I first picked up a PS3 controller after my brother took it out of the box. We thought we had to pop a battery in but couldn't see a door for it so I just shrugged and hit the button. The dualshock 3 is a good bit heftier but I still think vibration is a useless feature for gaming.

I think there's a different between pirating INSTEAD of buying it and pirating having no intention to buy it in the first place. If they released a game worth buying I would pay for it. Hell, if they released the single player only for like half the price I would pay for that. I refuse to give them my money on principle. I don't think thats true. Just cause they're the same game it doesn't mean its one and the same. If things were to migrate, I would want it to go the dedicated server route. I mean, if it was dedicated servers, wouldn't everyone be able to play on the same server, regardless if its a PS3/360/PC. I really don't know the infrastructure of how the online works.

Couldn't they see that the PC gaming community was outraged cause of this? The feedback should have been enough to at least give IW and nudge and make them go "maybe this wasn't a good idea."

I got CoD4 on both the 360 and PC. I prefer single player on the 360 since the game does look a lot better on a HDTV instead of a monitor. The multiplayer on the PC was better since I could choose what servers to play in. Different servers had different communities and different types of players in it. And if you take gaming seriously you have the option to set different settings based on the rules of the match.

I can't believe they made it even shorter than the first Modern Warfare.
It's biggest issue was the game length and they didn't even adress that at all.

Probably a lot actually. COD4 single player was amazing so im pre sure ppl who liked that will continue to play it.

I actually am interested in single player only... The story/mission of CoD4 was awesome.

i went to that new store game and trade on 4th and cypress. Showed up at 12, they opened the door and i bought my copy was back home by 12:10. No idea why people would waste hours waiting in lines. i didnt even have a pre-order.

Agreed. First game online i was 30k/10d and got to rank 4 lol. If you're good at MW then you're fine for MW2. Sucks that the AK is level 70 god damn.
