I used to do that many years ago. Truth be told, I'm absolutely sick of the VW tuning community in the Lower Mainland. Everyone is basically related and prooably used to work together at a different shop at one point in time. One company splits and people go their own ways, then other people split and form new partnerships blah blah blah. It's always been the same people since day one, and I get sick of all the drama going on betweem the various shops, people whining saying they did all the work when they were with so-and-so and didn't get credit, blah blah blah, talking trash about others...

My switch to BMW wasn't because of anything to do with brand or that I'm a huge fan of BMW's now. I could do the same position with Audi or Mercedes. It's just that a position with BMW came up at an opportune time for me. I still like my VW's and Audi's.

As much as Marco and I have had our share of arguments in the past, I still have to admit that he is who he says he is. My wife is from the Phillippines. Her father's family owned a lot of land and were quite wealthy. Her dad was entitled to a significant share of the land/wealth when they were in the process of dividing it up (ther were only 3 brothers). When my wife was very young, her father died. The family long planned to move to the US, and had finally received their papers allowing them to move. They sold off all their land/properties and relocated en-masse to Los Angeles some 20+ years ago. My wife and their family literally woke up one day and everyone was gone right from under their noses. They took all the money from the land and didn't give a single penny to my wife's mother, who was entitled to the share her husband would have received. The other brothers basically decided to keep his share as well. So out of the entire extended family, my wife, her mother and brothers/sisters were left behind with nothing while the others settled in California.

dangonay is their primary family name. Initially we used the name sort of as a big "fuck you" to the family. I have dangonay.com and some other domains with their family names reserved. We also have pretty much all the hotmail.com, live.com, gmail and other common services using their names.

My wife and I are putting together a complete history showing what actually happened and she has tracked everyone in the family to various locations in California. Once everything is done, we are going to publilsh the websites to all their "family" domains. Imagine seeing a website called "yourrealname.com" and seeing all your family's personal details (and shady history) out there for everyone to see?

dangonay just sort of stuck since it was unique and I decided to keep using the name.
