Got the paper back today and realized my term paper partner added in several unnecessary crap which the prof took notice of and proceeded to take a shit ton of marks off. Her comments basically implied that the entire paper was child's play and drawn with crayon.

Damn that really sucks but it is a good lesson to learn. Final drafts should always be read over and agreed upon by all members of the team. It is the standard procedure at the publication level which you should adopt from now on.

Thats exactly why I hate doing group projects,labs, assignments... group anything basically. Its fun in highschool because you do it with friends and they're alot easier to coordinate, but once you get to uni its alot different. Profs demand more of them, and then you get a ton of keeners that like to do all the work, or some that dont do work at all. And yeah, thats why i always try and do a proofread over any group project I do, just make sure things are in sync with each other.

I discuss answers if its a midterm because its beneficial to have an idea of what you did wrong so know what to improve on for the final. But after i do a final, I also book it outta there, because when you think about it, theres no point in discussing it anymore because the course is done. Some courses dont even let you check your final exams after. Especially if u have other exams afterwards, when u start discussing with ppl it just messes up your morale and motivation to study for your other exams.

Took COMM 473 with Ron Mackinnon. He's rude and believes he's funny when he's not but he literally reused the past years midterm. Got a perfect score on that midterm. Material is easy enough if you do practice problems. I ended up with a solid A.

Took COMM 493 with Momo Deretic. Class is ok depending on your group mates. Final is tricky you really need to understand the concepts.

Yea, she's really elaborate in her lecture so there's really not that much of a point getting the book except for the cases. She has all hand written notes in all her lectures so if you don't like writing, laptop is probably easier, except when it comes to her diagrams

Looking for some advice, this is a cross-post to UBC and SFU, sorry in advance.

I'm going to graduate next January from SFU with a joint Poli-Sci/Econ degree, my GPA is 3.4 right now, I'm hoping to get it up to 3.7 to 4.0 after the fall and if I'm very lucky I'm going to get all my classes I reg for and finish.

My options are sort of, do a Second Degree, or go for an MBA. and I'm waffling on what to do, I've heard good and bad things from friends (all out East, McGill, Western, York), on getting a second degree, or if it'd better to just go higher up. meowmeow told me the book wasn't important at all, but here i've given you the most important part of the textbook which are the afterthoughts because you can be guaranteed at least 2-3 questions from afterthought. Therefore, it IS important to read the textbook.

If you're aiming for 80% plus, read the side bars as well, i should have mentioned this, but maybe i forgot. I wouldn't waste time studying the actual text itself, because unless you're a psychology student in graduate school, the vast majority of the main text in that book is mindfuck. hence, why it's a psychology textbook.

gd luck with the course man, does he still put pictures on top of the lecture notes? because i'd just take them off, they're ALOT less important than the shit that's underneath them. I made that mistake and it cost me a good chunk of percentage

I know starbucks increased prices everywhere, I get coffee either at blue chip or pond cafe. Blue Chip a medium is 1.75 with your own tumbler 2 dollars without, and the Pond cafe brews starbucks coffee sells a grande for 2.18 still.

Last Sunday night at around 9pm (near War Memorial Gym) I parked near the bus loop and found 3 large shoe prints on the hood of my car.
