I have a question guys, how are some people vaping over 15+ watts. I read on reddit people vape at like 25 watts, with apparently amazing flavor and such and such.

I have a kayfun 3.1 clone and an SVD mod, using cotton I harsh burn the cotton @ 13 watts. Right now I built a 1.3ohm coil, and if in voltage mode it would mean I can get it at a max of 27 watts, but how do people not burn their wicking material? I cant imagine other textile based wicking material like silca will have much better results.

the device you're applying voltage to, meaning your kayfun is a reduced chamber silica based tank. It uses pressure differential to draw liquid to the wicking material. Then with that, it also has a very reduced chamber to allow the flavor/vapor to have density.

because of the size of the vape chamber, having HIGH heat without a sufficient draw to the wick will result in reduction of vapor, as you're drying out the wick prior to it allowing it to draw more liquid.

Personally, I have never taken my kayfun tops beyond 15 watts. It's not necessary.

For those that you're reading that take their devices to 20+ watts, they're probably using dripping atty's or genesis style attys. those will have larger surfaces to create vapor, and larger areas for the vapor to expand prior to your inhale.

For me, i like to have a 8-10 wrap of 26 gauge wire. usually resulting in a 1-1.1 ohm single coil, or a .5-.55ohm dual. The surface area is immense and i normally set my devices to 25+ watts to get vapor production, and inclusive with the surface area of my wicking material, i get immense flavor

In the same boat, vapor production just isnt as heavy, but its the best mouth to lung hit out of my 3 tanks.

I use my nautilus from time to time still though, good vapor when its had a few primer puffs. The kayfun3.1 has me loving lung hits and the nautilus has pretty good lung hits.

Looks real good! I got a kayfun clone from ESV and its been working great! Id buy it, and save up for a real dripper/auto dripper or mech mod for future fun

Holy so much aerotanks. Did you know you can use a drill 1/8 into the holy ring to make it slightly better air draw?

I just picked up an aerotank V2 mega and mini yesterday from vaporcity

I'd have to say it was a pretty pricey and there's only one airhole that you won't get the ring stuck like the V1 aerotank. It also comes with a metal tank tube so if your glass tube ever break you can use that instead

There are some crappy clone and some good clones. I gotten a lot of crappy clone from fasttech and a few good one. For price, I'd totally go for clone.

A genesis tank, while not a leak proof tank, it's the closest tank atty that you can buy that allows you to create your own resistance, and your own coil to allow you to find that wattage setting you prefer.

clones are okay to get you going. They provide you the look and feel of the real thing.

you can compare buying and using a clone to any knock off item on the market. you can fool people to a certain extent, but only you and the purists will know it's a fake.

As for a hana? I cannot speak poorly of any hana i've used, or my own for that matter. and 250 is cheap for a regulated high wattage device, that's hand crafted and extremely solid.

but that choice is entirely yours in the end

Have fun with it. The chip set in there isn't a wattage chip FYI, it's a voltage upping chip.

If you've seen the reviews, or read any reviews on it, you'll know that it only regulates voltage, NOT wattage.

You're going to have to do some math if you want to figure out your wattage on the device.

Just started rebuilding coils and now when I use them on my svd it only sometimes works or the vape will shut off completely. Is it because the batteries cannot put out enough power now? Turning down the power has no effect, if i'm lucky i can get two hits before it shuts off.

The svd is an either or device. It will either provide to you the voltage it states (at limitations) or the wattage it states ( at limitations) and that's due to a few factors.

Switch amperage rating and the chipset and how it multiplies voltage.

The chipset on that device is pulswidth modulated so it won't be able to provide to you a direct boost. It will do its best to give you what you're after though. You'll find that at higher power ratings it isn't as efficient but still does a good job regardless

Man, if that can provide 25 watts efficiently, I would havent given mine away!

It's a good atty, solid adjustable airflow.

It has a spit back protection hole, meaning it's a little bit smaller below where the drip tip sits. But other than that it's enjoyable. I have been using mine for quite some time....well actually it's just been sitting recently. Other than that, if you get your hands on the real deal, it's worth it!

you should skip the starter kits and get something like the innokin itaste vv 3 with a kanger evod tank for around the same price. imo way better then a starter kit, but pretty good for beginners

Looks like I'm going to have to switch to vaping for work reasons. Is Eastside Vapes still the best place to go to get a starter kit and learn the basics of refillable e-cigs, or is there another shop worth looking into? I'm in Surrey, but I did read that the better shops were across the bridge.

Last time I tried to vape, I attempted to use one of those London Drugs starter kits and it drove me back to cigarettes really quickly because the taste was terrible, and without nicotine, wasn't the same.

to get a decent set up, that won't break the bank, and isn't a CLONE of a clone of a clone, you're going to want to look at a few brands. But don't get me wrong, there are some clones knocked off from authentics that are also REALLY nice, but you do want to see them in person to ensure that they are decent in quality.

Smoktech makes a really decent mechanical, called the magneto. For an entry level 22mm wide mechanical mod, it has very good conductivity for firing resistances low, and has a solid switch which is magnetically opposed. It's a telescopic mod, allowing you to use all sizes of 18XXX series batteries.

Another mechanical that's also a telscopic, is the Kamry K-101. It's a spring loaded bottom fire as well, has chrome plated brass contacts for good conductivity, and has low voltage drop for a good hit. The mod comes in a variety of body colors, where the tube that has holds the atomizer is a 19mm width. While it might not make much of a difference to you, to me and to some it creates a slight awkward look when you place 22mm atty's on top of it.

For dripping atomizers, I'd stay away from MOST of the clones from fasttech. The quality that you'll find from their dripping atomizers are piss poor. The price you pay doesn't justify how crap they are. The post holes are usually smaller than small, and they might not even have the post holes line up properly. This would then give you a piss poor wrap on your coils, and it will then leave you frustrated.

There are work arounds, but it's almost worth paying a little bit more and ordering a Youde device.

Which is what I want to recommend.

If you're looking for a solid dripping atomizer, I strongly suggest the Igo W3 and Igo W5. The w3 is a 19mm wide dripper, which suits the k101 nicely, has plenty of aftermarket top caps, from air flow controlled, to clear/frosted plastic ones, to solid stainless caps....really there are a LOT. It takes a mediocre affordable dripper and turns it into a solid worth while device.

Where as the IgoW5, it's a little bit more in cost, but also has a lot of aftermarket support for top caps.

I know there are other devices out there, and are pretty affordable, but all of what I've suggested to you can be found locally, and within town.

CEV has the smoktech, the k101 and the igow3.

ESV has a good selection of quality tobeco clones, and the Igo W5 with aftermarket top caps available

If you're going to jump right into a mechanical with a dripper, expect to spend in the vicinity of 150 and up, just to get you started.
That includes

Mechanical mod,
Dripping atomizer,
2 18650 high discharge batteries
2 Bay charger

A little bit more can get you some resistance wire so you can learn the wrap techniques to allow you to customize your heat and vape experience more so.

So my setup arrived from Vancity faster than I thought. (Next day!). I thought it was fucked out of the box because I tried to "traditionally" smoke with it and was getting little to no smoke. I find out that the tank needs to be vertically downwards for it to work properly.

flavours are interchangable so thats the least of your worries, for someone thats just starting just get an evod, I am sure most of us went that path when you get used to it then you can upgrade to something wither variable.

I asked their live chat person and she said if you're getting the Max VG% option, it's better to get 1 or 2 flavor shots in them, because the high amount of VG compromises the flavor. Pg gives u throat hit. Irritated my throat so I only do high or max vg. I drip at sub ohm power also. Try a 50/50 in a tank or higher vg when dripping.

check all your connections.

your problem lies in one of those connections, my guess is the atomizer connection to top cap pin.

A Real nightmare - Thin mint flavor with a hint of tobacco. Throat hit is a little harsh but its not too bad. Not an all day vape for me, not really my style of juice. Would def purchase a 10ml bottle before deciding on a bigger one. 7/10

Kiss the Ring - Very yummy custard, vanilla custard flavor all around. Hints of berries, and nana cream. The berry is more pronounced, but its just SLIGHTLY there. Nana cream is even more subtle, but its definitely there. Sometimes the banana flavor really stands out, but only sometimes. GREAT VAPE! I love it so far. Between this and nana cream, cant really choose one. I think the general public will like nana cream more, but if you vape more than just a sample of Kiss the Ring and are a custard type of guy, Kiss the Ring will probably take the throne. I feel nana cream might be a better all day vape cause the flavors are not as strong, but kiss the rings flavor strength is in the custard, not the fruits so for me at least it is a awesome all day vape. If i wanted to show off how flavorful vaping is to a person, id load up Kiss the Ring for them rather than Nana cream cause of how bold the custard is. 10/10

After i finish the tank of Kiss the Ring ill throw in Black out city and review it.

I have a bunch of knuckle juice, divine fog, Dark side vape juices, and an adam bomb juice. All the bombie flavors I have tried so far surpass all of these, even A Real Nightmare! Bombies is the shittttt

TLDR: Order a big ass bottle of nana cream, order a big ass bottle of Kiss the Ring if you like custard flavors. I would be completely happy if I threw out all my other juice for these two flavors. None of my other juice comes even close to these two flavors.

It's a PWM device, pulse width modulation. It has a 8 volt max output, BUT it can attain a max amperage of 20+, making it possible to output a potential of 240+ watts.

My devices are all wound for 50-70 watts, and at 20 drips on my RDA it gives me about 5-8 long pulls. Loads of vaporz to be made.

I have also cut all my juices to be 3-4mg, taking 6mg and cutting it in half.

On my drive to edmonton, i was using my russian, and my aerotank mega, and filled each of those up 3 times within that 12 hour drive. It's EASY to vape when everything works as they should!

Do you guys order you juice international? Any trouble at the border? As far as I know mods and tanks should get across border fine but juice might get held up? Gonna try vaping agin after decade of smoking and wanna jump in head first with a innokin 134 mini. Notice it's much cheaper in the states and am thinking about ordering it through us retailer and have it shipped to pt Roberts. Anyone have trouble bring it over the border? You shouldn't have any troubles getting across the border with your best. However, even with that being said, the border security does have a stop and seizure order fr health Canada, but this DOES NOT mean that every border guard will enforce it. Due to the fact that its not their jurisdiction.

The Manhattan is an awesome mod! However they are a terrible company.

Todd's ecig review did an honest opinion on the mod, where he states that the mod doesn't vent. Which he honestly thought it didn't, calling it a pipe bomb

Amerivapes then threatened to sue Todd for that review if he didn't take the video down.

The mod does vent, it just doesn't have viable vent holes.

So yes, a couple friends have the Manhattan mod, and love it, I personally will not support a company that takes an honest reviewer to court for doing what he does, which is provide an unbiased review.

The choice is yours though

Ya i learned abt that whole ameravape vs todd fiasco when searching up the manhattan mod, but honestly, if i was ameravape id threaten to sue too . Todd basically said this products does not work as advertised, re: the vent holes, based on what he sees with his eyes only, when in fact the vent holes work perfectly as proven in other youtube videos. So Todd should either remove the video, or edit the video, not leave the video up with false information.

Yea, it's the nicotine in the liquid they're being anal about. My buddy has brought over stuff for DIY (pg,vg,flavouring) and they had no problem with it.

You are correct, I have brought over everything (excluding nicotine) without question. Although they have asked me where my stuff was made. This was an ehpro KFL+

I have seen that, and have discussed the situation with chuff. He's a good friend of a friends, and all i have to say is, feel free to use whatever product you desire.

The manhattan is a great device. solid, and has good performance. I have nothing to say about the tube itself, just the couple of guys that stand behind it.

So any recommendation for mod in the $100 price range? Did some reading while I like the innokin 134 mini it doesn't seem as durable as the not as cool looking provari. Any other mods I've over looked?

You probably just need to let it steep. Let it sit in a dark cool place for a day, shake it up, and put it back with the cap off for another day.
