Went in to the shop for some final suspension/steering tweaking today. Gotta get adjustable camber arms for the rear because either one of my trailing arm bushings is fucked, or my frame is bent or something is off, which wouldn't be a surprise since the car has nearly 300,000kms now :badpokerface: the uneven camber is driving me insane since it's visible. Need to get the other side to -5 as well.

I love my nsx and I enjoyed my 997 Turbo for the massive torque/ power it has. They are totally different in driving dynamics though. 997 Turbo on the track is and will always be a point and shoot car doesn't matter how much you mod it. its got a lot of low rpm torque and awd to pulls you out of the corner nicely. down side is the turbos and awd makes the car numb, you get bored with it after a while.
NSX if a fine instrument, no power steering, N/A engine makes it very direct. you feel every single movement the car does and you can really drive the car with momentum and control the car with fine throttle inputs. It's more exciting car of the 2 for sure.
I think use them in the city, they will both do the job well.
NSX was the car that I always wanted, and it peaked my interest when 2 of my friends got them, I had to buy one when i test drove one lol

Yup iirc 91-94 nsx are manual steering rack and by 95 they switch to the EPS

I see that NSX is a rebuild but can you share some more details on it?
I ran the vin and it says rebuilt/salvage/flood car and by 1999 it already has 144k miles after that there's no more record of the clicks.
So you decide roughly the clicks on the present time!
Also the tachometer is very temperamental sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't my guess will be the after effect of the flood damage I don't know.

It is, there's a selector way down on the transmission that can put it into 2WD mode for dyno testing like white rocket suspected. Much easier than finding an AWD dyno.

When my S13 was stolen years ago, the thief rammed a flathead into the ignition and started it that way. The S14 can probably be done the same way.

There's also a limited combination of keys for S13 and S14. They also cross both generations of that specific vehicle.

My experience was very good! Mark (salesman) was great throughout the process and it was a comfortable and fun experience. I got a good deal on the car (friend also bought a car their recently) and they did a service on my boxster free of charge. Their service department also seems very good and knowledgeable. I was chatting with Tony (service) for a while and got a good vibe from their shop, although they are quite expensive (100~/hr)

^^^That's great to hear. Duncan, the owner, is a really cool guy. Loves cars, tracks an old BMW for fun. Very much a boutique dealer with some unique product. He's a pretty picky guy so I'll bet that transfers to the vehicles he buys to resell.

996 is OK - gear box has to come out and go to Colorado for a partial rebuild might put in an LSD while it's apart depending on the extent of the repairs required. Lots of other little things. Goes under the knife in 3 weeks. Drove it today - gearbox can't get any worse apparently. Picture from today - needs a wash after sitting for 2 weeks.

My M3 didn't come with vaders - it's a lux car with sport seats in rare magma (baby poo) brown. Slicktop too - pretty unique combo.

Not done the car yet but got her to look and drive decent for the spring meet!

been a full year since I took her off the road and now she's just about done! first start up of the new motor didn't turn out so well, so frustrated I almost gave up! Actually got her running and dyno'd 2 days before the meet. Headache is over and now it's just the final touches!

Ran into a few small mishaps on the dyno. Managed to squeeze out 363 whp / 280 ft/lbs (mustang numbers) before it started losing traction. Need to make a few changes and I'll be back for a final tune!
