a few changes. black heat extractors from a 2016, but i haven't figured out how to rig the LEDs yet. i kept my forgelines from my old mustang and thought i would try them on to see if they look okay, but the offsets are a little on the conservative side now because new mustangs have wider fenders than before... would like to do more but limited to baby steps because of lack of a garage to work in :(

took the bikes out of the garage today and fired em up. the older ones i haven't touched in maybe 8 months? no chargers no nothing. once i remembered to turn the choke on (lol) they fired right up. i should really rebuild the old gsx-r400 with modern suspension. i love the powerband of that bike. well, the 77 didnt really start up in the last picture... maybe one day soon :p

How do people keep getting on the grass at waterfront park!? Are you guys just driving up there illegally?

I've lived literally adjacent to this park for years, and wanted to take a picture there all this time and I have never had the opportunity.

All the shows that take place there are for euro guys, or classics, or high dollar cars, never been a chance for me to enter one of those since I drive a raging piece of shit.

I'm literally going to just cut the lock one day and drive up there, fuck the ticket. #purplecarlivesmatter

I loved driving the F-150. I was able to do a lot of things not possible with a car like going off road, loading the back with stuff for lake days, etc... Never had a truck before and never really understood how practical they are. Wanted to finish off the last little bit of summer off with something fun to drive which look like that's going to be pretty short lived. Still contemplating what to move into next.

It certainly was, and I owe you a big thanks again for originally posting it in the CL good buys thread :thumbsup:

The car has been absolutely great and has not given me any issues whatsoever. Don clearly took good care of it and I've been trying to carry it on and spending money and time on maintenance/upkeep before modding it. I've finally killed off the undersized Conti DW tires that came with the car and now I cant wait to upgrade them to RE71Rs or Star Specs :D

1978 Subaru DL (Aka Leone / Loyale) with 92,000 KM's. Larger 1.6L Boxer 4, Auto. Bought off of the 92 year old original owner whose estate was being handled by her Sons. (Passed away in July).

Absolutely loving it. Needs larger/wider Subaru Brat or Loyale wheels, and a fluid flush.

Is it immune to rust?

I feel almost bad.. I'm sealing off what I can with Waxoyl. This car has corrosion in the most common places you'd find on 70's BC cars. However, it is much better than other BC cars in this era. No rust holes or anything. It was not a good feeling driving the rust free E34 and accord through our acid - treated roads in the winter. Literally left my hose out in the driveway throughout the winter so I could wash off what I could.

Interior + Mechanicals are mint though :bigthumb:

I'll be taking care of this little guy. Winter "beater" is a harsh term. I'm going to Kwantlen surrey and back from Coquitlam... and to work Lmao.

edit: Anyone have old school CIBIE foglights and where can I get those rally mud flaps I see on vape enthusiast / impreza owners

i've never been in an automatic one before. not sure if it makes a difference though. parts are scarce for those, otherwise i would hunt for the non-DOT bumpers. and i'm worried about rust as well. at least it's painted in the right color should that become a big issue.

I ended up using 10mm spacers all around, so +33 final offset and didn't rub with a gen 2 at 1.3mm drop. I think your wife's gen 3 has even a bit more room.

it's fine to go light off road, but the approach, departure, and break-over angle aren't as good as dedicated off-roaders. The wheelbase is pretty long which doesn't help. I'm sure taco with the extended cab is about the same.

I wasn't expecting it to be a Jeep, but I was curious about it compared to say, a Colorado, or a full-size pickup, or something similar.

How was it otherwise though? Is it a good daily driver?

Renegade review coming next friday ridgeline following friday lol

i've driven the tacoma and it's pretty good but with a lot of these pickups there's not a lot of interior room but the ridgeline because of its unibody construction the belly is low and the cab has tons of volume.

I know most people are gonna be like seriously? an Ugly juke? But I don't mind it so much.

My reasoning here is also somewhat sound. I needed something for daily commuting while in town, and also for some semi-longer trips. My work truck is likely going to be stuck up north this winter while I fly back and forth. So picking up a different car made a lot of sense. I had my eye on a few things, the big one being a nice 6speed Xterra, however none ever popped up. And then I stumbled on this thing, the price was right, optioned out completely and manual FWD. I'm happy.

I'm happy to have a manual car, my first daily manual car ever. The reason I wanted to ensure any car I picked up is manual, is because I wanted to test how I coped with driving a manual around daily. I'm still stuck on the idea of Swapping my FX with a 6speed CD009 Transmission. I'm two days into it now, and I am loving it, so it's looking promising.

NO FUCKING MODS. Except different wheels wrapped with winter tires.

Nice Xterra! Just a heads up I know some of them have the transmission cooler built into the rad, which likes to fall apart and mix the coolant and trans fluid together. I don't remember the exact details on whats years and whatnot were affected but something to double check, I think you just need to convert it to an external trans cooler and it's good to go.

You are correct, this is usually a 2nd gen issue so luckily it's a rare issue for me. Thst being said I have a few plans to keep things cooler as people claim the supercharger causes the engine to run about 30 degrees hotter. A rad, trans cooler and nismo thermostat are on the list. Come summer I plan to do a single small louver over the charger to exhaust some. Of the heat. I'm going to look for soemthing I can block off during the wet/cold months as it won't be needed then. I appreciate the input guys! I'm clearly new to Nissan's/trucks so anything that can help I appreciate

Yeah this is an issue related to Automatic 2nd Gen Xterra's. First Gen Xterra's and Manual Xterra's are generally not affected.

Nice pickup on the xterra snails, funny how it seems so many guys are now switching to 4x4's. Before I bought the juke I was on the hunt for a 6speed xterra. No nice ones ever popped up, and I eventually gave up.

If it wasn't boosted I'd be selling stuff to make the effort to purchase. Car is worth the money all day long but the 6 puck and boost might be scaring people off. The guy that bought my Evo said that was the deciding factor for him as the others for sale at the time all had 6 pucks.

I assume they'll get there eventually (they should also have a minimum tread depth requirement but that'd get a bit complex for some people). We put proper winter tires on all our vehicles but I'll only take the Jeep out of town since I'm paranoid about being hit by the idiots in big trucks with nearly bald M+S who think they're okay because "it's got 4WD".

Thanks man, but the car I can't tell if it's good or bad.... Interior is super clean with near new factory seats, some interior bits need replacing, kit is fugly, exhaust is cat less greddy which is killing me (carbon monoxide poisoning) engine wise I really dunno.... Did compression check because at boost it blows ALOT of smoke (blue/white) gasket seems ok (not over heating) boosts at 17psi, starts good, idles like any z... But compression is 90 on 5 120 on one..... Runs too rich etc.... Don't think it's piston ring.... Could be turbo seals.......

Anyone know any "reasonably" priced guys who know z's (besides surrey zshop... Bit of a drive to get there)
