Had fun exploring the quarries 3am on new years day... until we got to the top and sank in deep, fresh powder. Both the Benz and Expedition high centered in our own tracks, had to call in the F150 to rescue us. :P

one of tofu's customers traded this in for a m5, and i went just to take a peek?

michelin PSS in -3'c weather on black ice = wheelspin in 3rd gear at boost. it is an unbelievable experience how this car fights for traction and actually finds it where there is none... what a beast. i can now cross this off my bucket list.

i want this gtr so bad... but can't afford it without selling my soul and my mustang is taking a hit on resale value. R35 used prices do not seem to be falling anymore, especially for local unmolested/unmodified ones like this.

window sticker was over $52k, but i got it for much less after rebates and discounts because it was a new/old stock 2015. the mustang is getting a mid cycle refresh for [edit]2018 and will be completely redesigned in 2020 (ford just announced there will be a hybrid performance version) so combined with another new year mine is starting its resale value slide...

My 4.6 stroker cab which weighted 500 more pounds than a sedan had way better fuel economy than my e60 m5! 4.6 e93 m3 55L gets 260kms. 2008 m5 55L gets 220kms

First 3 fill ups on the Jeep GC SRT has netted me an average of 5.7km/L or 17.5L/100km and I have tried my best on eco mode with cylinder deactivation and active cruise control whenever I can. Hope it gets slightly better after break-in but I doubt it. Coming from a 15 Murano that took regular to an SRT that takes premium, fill ups have been about double the price with slightly less kms traveled. Can't even imagine what it'll be like when I start towing with it. FML.

I drive a 2011 f150 with the 5.0L V8 and I'm running oversized tires on it. Current average I'm getting is about 19.5L/100km. The tank is 136L and lasts me about 600km.

I've got a GC CRD (previous gen though), and I'm getting <14L/100km while being a bit heavy footed and remote starting it twice a day.

Are you doing hand calcs or going off the little readout? I noticed mine reads worse mileage than my hand calcs.

Hand calc and read out have been consistent. I always do the math every time I fill up and it's been about 470-500km for a 80-85L fill up.

Still going! Trip at 370km from fill up with just over 1/4 tank left and 225km until empty. The S54 somehow does decent considering how it's constantly trying to kill me on winter tires. [emoji23]

Blacklines??

Yup, specifically the Depo blacklines instead of OEM. Depo are slightly darker than OEM and after enough comparisons it looks like OEM looks better on lighter cars whereas Depo on darker.

The auto in the FRS is quite good actually, just not as good as those ZF in BMW or anywhere as satisfying as the DCT in the M... but i've track and auto x it and in many case its just as good as a manual in terms of effectiveness! its great for those daily drives after work or school in rainy days haha, drove a manual frs and I just think everything is too light and rubbery...

So the blackline style tail lights started to anger me each time I looked at my car since they were too dark for my liking. Also felt the red on my OEMs were contrasted better with the body colour. I'll have the blacklines till Friday, Saturday I'm shipping them back to original seller so anyone interested please reach out (06-08 e90 smoked blackline).

I'd take OEM blacklines (these in particular were smoked DEPO) over LCI refresh. Not to mention the additional cost of painting SGM + coding in LEDs would be quite expensive too (and I just bought fresh coils + spark plugs + few other items for the car too). Next items on the list: sway bars, lowering springs, new rear tires, headers (when I find a set for reasonable price).

I don't think you can go wrong with the OEM blacklines. They look fantastic. Just gotta keep eyes open for folks looking to sell theirs on e90post. I had to jump on my Performance Exhaust the second someone was selling one since they go fast haha

I was a snowplow for some friends in an unplowed lot who had all seasons that couldn't handle it. Went back and fourth a few times to clear the area through the heavy snow and got their cars loose to get out. [emoji23] Wonder if my bumper is tired of eating snow yet...

The space friendly Haldex does have a minor drawback as it's a FWD first then AWD when it needs to be versus The A4 is AWD all the time. I don't think my friend has had any issue with his TT in the snow though. You really have to put your vehicle in awkward locations or drive horribly to wish you needed full time AWD. FWD Civics, Corollas, and Accords are always the ones plowing throw all the snow steady, while SUVs are in the ditch. LOL

Yes, the part about the FWD first then AWD is a big one.

My experience is based upon... 4 daily driven Audis. All 3 Torsion ones were noticeably better than the Haldex.

I daily drove a B5 APR'ed 1.8T 5MT many years ago. It was a beast in the winter with snows!! I never felt any moment where I was questioning control. It's a good system!!!

ferrari is actually a good friend of mine. kinda wished i kept my 355. haha. if i keep the cars long enough i get the itch to modify them.

viper, porsche, g55 are all done up. i try not to go too outrageous with the exterior. the g55 is a forever truck so it will go under the knife next year i hope.

Got a chance to take my Supra out for the day. Don't mind the stance bro wheels. I need to remove the 15mm front spacers and do some de ricing.

This thing is a beast when the boost comes on and it handles surprisingly well.

Maintenance hurts....

roughly 1200 for an oil change. 3000 for 2 year service, 4500 for 4 year service.

No breakdowns so far (knock on wood) since i got her. Not my daily but i still put about 40,000 on her so far since 2012.

Having only 1 certified Ferrari / Maserati dealership in Vancouver basically allows them to charge whatever they want. That being said, Ferrari Maserati of Vancouver is actually really fantastic; just pricey. I tried to seek alternatives before (i joined revscene to ask if there was cheaper independents) but ended up going back to FMOV due to the great relationship i have with their service guys. Plus if I ever sell the car, i have full service records from the dealership and that helps resell a lot.

They also give out Q4 Ghibli's for rentals. FUN!!!

There are very few components on the Maseratis that require specific tools (variatoris one of those that comes to mind). You can easily do your own oil change (oil filter is only available through the dealership but it's 80 dollars a pop). Brakes are pretty much standard affair but parts are expensive. Rotors are every second brake pad change. If you are not interested in reselling the car you could do most if not all your own services.

The problem is when you do go sell it and the next owner find out that it's not dealership maintained you will get a much lower price. All exotics carry the same issue.
