Neufeld, in his release, said he has never opposed changes to the B.C. Human Rights Code and has never said anything contrary to the code.
"I have simply taken issue with ... the teaching of the controversial gender-fluid theory, as if it was fact, that gender is fluid, that there are more than two genders and that gender is not based in biology," he wrote.
But last October, Neufeld faced widespread criticism after he denounced members of B.C.'s education system in a Facebook post as "radical cultural nihilists" for their policies on gender rights and education.
Neufeld wrote that "letting little children choose to change gender is nothing short of child abuse."
How do others feel about schools teaching gender identity to children as young as grade two?

I don’t have any issue with anyone else, whether it be gender, race, whether you do or don’t like penis’s etc. But.... keep your agenda’s out of our schools. I am definitely more of a man of science. Yes fine someone may feel different, but there is a time and a place for it. Grade 2 in a Public school is too young. Maybe high school sex ed where young adults can actually comprehend the subject matter
I might be in the minority but I think it's fucking stupid to teach something so complex to young kids. These kids are still learning life fundamentals like reading, writing and math.
Let them just be the naive innocent creatures they are. They can only have it for so long before life ruins them anyway.

Just because it's on Youtube doesn't make it appropriate for kids. I side with the folks saying that they're too young to have to worried about this stuff. When kids hang out with each other, they don't see things like gender differences, race, or economic status. For the most part.
IMO the whole gender equality thing has to stay out of the curriculum.
Curriculum is about scientific/research based topics that we'd like to introduce to our kids as well as *values* we feel it's necessary for our kids to have. School should focus on that, and that alone instead of being "politically correct".
Gender as we know it are based on 2 opposite sex with certain physical exceptions happening in the nature due to certain reasons. While at that, a teacher can tell the kids that in the case of human, we might go beyond physical exceptions. There are people who psychologically identify themselves differently and THAT IS OK as everyone is entitled to think in their own ways.
That's all school needs to do... no more, no less.
This whole "equality" thing and social justice is getting out of control. If you push all the kids to think that it's only ok to think in certain way... you just killed creativity and diversity.
What age group is this aimed at?

Comparing apples and oranges. Happy Tree Friends is not aimed at young children. It is satire on the level of South Park - using its innocent appearance to counter it's boundary pushing adult humour. If Queer Kids Stuff is meant for anyone other than young children, where the target audience is much older and seemingly requiring adult concepts explained to them as if they are children, or it is satire, then I stand corrected.

So you agree, Queer Kids Stuff, while aimed at children, is not appropriate for children? Why isn't it being condemned by SJW's and youtube like that shit is?

Whats wrong with being gay?

Why don't you tell me Mr. Label-anyone-who-doesn't-exactly-agree-with-your-viewpoints-as-homophobic/racist/facist/islamophobic/bigoted/whatever-word-that-once-had-weight-before-overuse.
Care to explain how you have taken what I have said in this thread, or anywhere else on this forum, and come to the conclusion that I have an issue with those who identify as gay? Walk me through it like Queer Kids Stuff walks kids who have no concept of sexuality through it, if you must.
Good job distracting from the discussion and attempting to discredit those you oppose with labels and insinuated labels.

I’ve lost count how many times in the last few years I dreamed about moving somewhere remote where’s there’s no other people. I admire Floki in the Vikings tv show hahaha
It's so scary to have kids nowadays... even my nephew is 5 freaking years old and he had to wear orange to kindergarten the other day to identify with aborginal awareness... he has no idea of these things! He doesn't even realize anyone is different at all! Why is it being pushed onto them???

I don’t see how the trustee could have explained himself any clearer. People are so worried these days about being labeled a bigot, racist, sexist or shoved into some other negative category they rather jump on the tribalism train and be part of some “movement” as part of the so called solution.
Gender fluidity and labels associated with sex are theories that have no scientific merit. To teach them at any level of education, especially such a young age is nothing more than an attempt to endoctrinate and assimilate children in some post modernist Marxist agenda. It would be liken to forcing creationism as part of the syllabus for these children. IE it has no scientific merit, it’s simply the agenda of a microcosm who wish to force their mindset upon others, but are attempting, in this instance, to do so through the educational system at a very young age
That said, it’s fine if you believe for example, people and dinosaurs existed at the same time, but please don’t force your religious dogma masked as pseudo science down my, much less my children’s throat in school. In like manner it’s fine if you believe there are 30+ genders, but that’s not a scientific belief at this time and as such has no place in the educational system. That’s all this guy is saying as far as gender pronouns. To each his/her own, but don’t do force your cultural agenda into schools. He has every right to oppose this and to be honest it’s pretty sad that it always becomes a witch hunt when someone stands up.
Reminds me a lot of Jordan Peterson’s whole situation a couple years back and his position on gender pronouns
What gets me is that other members of the school board were calling for WCB to inspect their working conditions because the stress of the whole situation was causing a toxic work place
How about instead of fucking complaining about every god damn thing and bringing it to the media DO YOUR FUCKING JOB and resolve these things internally
For fuck sakes man all everyone fucking does lately is whine whine whine ffs.. so sick of it

So as not to offend those with one of allegedly forty-seven billion gender pronouns, I can pick one that is incredibly gender-neutral, like "Comrade" or "Asshole".
Trying to push this bullshit on young kids does nothing but further the divide, and why the left is seen as eating itself. I still lean that way, but there are some aspects of new identity politics that I disagree with that would have me labeled as a bigot or racist if I was to share that opinion with most people publicly.
Personally I feel the discussion with children is okay because the easy accessibility to the internet & tech gadgets is already corrupting them. Kids start to discover their sexuality as early at 6 y/o. It's taboo to talk about but it is a reality..............
My nephew who was 4 y/o already knew how to search "sexy girls" on youtube much to his mothers dismay lol. I have a cousin who was about 7 y/o trying to google "Bubs" = "boobs" LOL. I know people who started masturbating at 6-7 y/o without the knowledge of what they were actually doing at the time. Sex is a natural process and i think the lack of education/nonjudgmental discussion makes it more offensive than it really needs to be.
IE: Filipino parents always tell their daughters NO BOYFRIENDS BEFORE 30. They make a huge deal about sex before marriage blah blah. But guess what? Its these same teenage girls who end up getting pregnant simply because they dont know any better. When I became sexually active as a teenager, I swear to God I was the only student in my school who made regular visits to my school nurse to have open safe conversations about sex, protection, stds, etc in graphic detail. I wanted to know more than what I was taught in the sex ed class we participated in once a year at school. I truly believe that it was my thirst for knowledge and my exposure to human anatomy/biology books that my aunt would give me that made sex something i wasnt afraid to ask questions about.
I get that it isnt the norm, but i think knowledge should be accessible by choice. Instead of forcing it down peoples throats, why not just teach kids unconditional acceptance and tolerance from day 1?
Doesnt have to go into incredible specifics, but to teach them that its okay to feel different inside and to express how theyre feeling in a safe space without being judged. Maybe have an open door system where kids who WANT to know more can choose to approach a trusted adult in a safe learning environment???
I feel for the kids who felt like they didnt have anyone to turn to at what may be a very confusing time in their life. This feeling of isolation at formative ages can lead to multiple issues, either socially or mentally. I dont think any child should have to feel alone in what theyre going through, get bullied for being different or get depressed/commit suicide because they feel chaos within.
Some kids mature incredibly faster than others. And ive seen instances personally where a parents expressed concern in the wrong way ended up with teenage pregnancy, catching an std, etc. By the time I was 15, I had taught a lot of my friends about sex, protection, birth control, emergency contraception....I even had a list of youth clinics and I would skip a school day to go with them if they ever needed it.
To me, this generation is all about feelings and wanting to feel accepted within society yet at the same time its important for them to also be unique and true to themselves unapologetically. The world is changing so we need to adapt. Biologically, i believe there are 2 genders....penis or vagina = male or female. But i do also believe that there are people who feel different and I dont think its my right to take that away from them. At the end of the day, i would want my child to feel safe at school and in society no matter if theyre trans, pan, bi or anything else. I would want them to have all the information and knowledge they need to make the best choices for themselves.
PS: Caillou is a horrible horrible show. That little shit cries and whines to manipulate his parents to give him what he wants. I know parents who have boycotted the show because theyve noticed their kids copy the behaviour. Fuck that little bald bitch motherfucker. I fucking hate Caillou LOL
^ Sweet Jesus, I don't know where the hell you went to school, but pretty much everyone in my school me included were still lining up GI Joes and Transformers for battle at 13-14 years old, not teaching each other about sex and morning after pills
