The Merc design is a "less sidepod" design rather than a zero sidepod or sidepod-less design. They have a sidepod, it's just reduced.

Last year near the end they really seemed to start to dial it in but I think it was more about the underbody aero effecting their performance than the sidepod. It was just that the sidepod was something we would see all the time.
