I've seen one Alphard, one Lexus LM, a few BMWs (usually all diesel - 20d 30ds), but definitely like 5-6 Maybachs per side street, some being used as delivery vehicles. There's more Rolls Royce here than BMWs. I've seen one MC20, two ferraris, 1 lambo, a handful of Bentleys.

I definitely felt like charity today. But I think I did well with the few normal Korean people and have a couple of dates planned for next week.

My experience of Korea this week has been eye opening to the amount of wealth in Asia. Now I know what other people mean by there's no real wealth in Vancouver (compared to Asia). You're living in a different time my friend. If you so much as mention AA/Dutch/splitting the bill in any manner you will be dropped immediately because:

1. you're a cheapskate
2. by not paying, that means you're not interested (my female friend said this during discussions and my other females friends seemed to agree)
3. clearly you'll never be a provider if you can't even pay for a date
4. girls spend so much to look good that you should/owe it to them to be paying the date (serious actual line of thinking some have)

The above is also why many girls poo-poo the idea of a coffee date because that's cheap and requires little planning. AKA, they can't get a sense of how much you're willing to spend in order to get their attention away from the hordes of men also chasing her. Therefore, it's a shit date idea and you're cheap AF so time to ghost you.

Speaking from personal experience, having dated mostly fobs and just one CBC girl in the past, it's interesting how progressive and open minded most fobs are, in contrast with shockingly traditional CBC girls.

Of course I can only speak for myself, but out of all the fobs I've dated - from ESL chicks to those who have been here since high school, not one of them have ever had any expectation for guys to pay for their everything. The only CBC girl I dated had extremely conservative, traditional Chinese parents who left mainland China in the early 80s. Their way of thinking was really strange, and my theory is that it was passed along to their daughter. It is a weird ass store, and specifically in Seongsudong, it's also a dessert place on the top floor. It's actually such a surreal sci-fi esque experience. The desserts are actually phenomenal - I thought it was just fancy people shit / IG shit that doesn't actually taste good. But their recommendations for tea + dessert pairing actually make or break the experience. It was so awesome - and I'm not even a dessert / fancy food person (even tho my trip highlights suggest otherwise)
