I have held the EM-10 and liked the way it felt, and really appreciated the EVF. Still have to get my hands on an EM-5 but I understand it is bigger then the 10. I'm personally leaning towards the EM-10 but the EM-5 is attractive because I've seen used for as low as 400 for body only. Which means more money for glass.

^Have you seen the EM5 Mark 2? IMO it's well worth the upgrade from the Mark 1 if you're looking for something to keep for a while.

I have, really liked the low light performance from some reviews and the 40mp sensor shift stills look incredible. But with an upcoming Hawaii vacation I am limited in budget, but we have a photography tour booked while we are there so I'd love to upgrade before the trip.

Played around with the E-M10 again, pretty sure I've made my choice, but now my girlfriend wants one after taking a few snaps and more importantly seeing the art filters. She would not use an OM-D to its potential so I'm thinking of getting her the E-PL5, which I believe has the same sensor as the E-M5 but can be had for 399.99 brand new any opinions on this camera?

Bit the bullet today, got the E-M10 and the E-PL5 for my girlfriend, Olympus has a special right now where you save either 100 or 200 on select glass, London drugs also has a coupon for 50 off oly lenses so the guy stacked the coupons so if I didnt "buy" the Oly 40-150 the camera would have been 896 but with the 40-150 the camera came to 881, can't argue with a lense someone paid me to take haha.

Really tempted to switch from Sony E Mount A6000 to Oly OMD EM10 with a 12-40 F2.8. The selection of lenses has really been lacking for Sony even after all this time.

I have not shot with the A6000, but after a couple of days with the E-M10 I love the set up. And the deal with the lenses right now is great, if I hadn't purchased two cameras I probably would have purchased the 45 mm which I think was 200 off with the purchase of any OM-D.

I was able to return my A6000 body on day 31 of my 30 day return policy haha. So I'm selling the lenses that I have now and officially moving over to M4/3.

Now the big decision. OMD EM10 or the newly released OMD EM5 MKII. Olympus has a promo bundle where I can get the 12-40 F2.8 lens at a discount. This is more of a secondary camera to my 7D.

Bit the bullet. Ordered a EM5 MKII in black with the 12-40mm F2.8 Pro from Olympus directly. 30 day return policy so why not.

First impressions. The build quality on this camera is amazing. Feels like a sculpted piece of metal. The lens/camera combo is a bit heavier than expected. Still need to play around with it some more.

Wish I could have waited a bit longer to get the MK2 but I am having a lot of fun with the E-M10. Have you used the sensor shift 40mp feature yet? Read one review that compared it to full frame shots.

I've been considering buying a nice camera for awhile now and after the Spring Meet I've decided that the time has come. I am usually taking picture of scenery and cars along with a lot of time lapses. Phone camera isn't cutting it. I also am interested in taking high exposure pictures of stars. Need some opinions from people who actually know cameras cause I don't.

new nex-7 for $500 still a good price these days against the more casual a5100? NEX-7 has the much praised Tri-Nav and build quality but lousy menus and no PDAF
they're upgrading from a t3i which is too bulky/heavy
any other decent mirrorless with EVF around $500?

A6000 is like $650-700 on sale. That's what I recommend to everyone that wants a good entry level that will last them awhile because it's new and good.

what's the best IQ point-and-shoot for under 500? Don't need crazy zoom, need IQ better or similar to Nikon j1 I have, has to fit in a pocket. Looking at RX100 mk1 and Fuji XQ2, XQ1 maybe.

J5 was announced today.

If you want a point and shoot that has great image quality and actually fits in your pocket, look at the Ricoh GR.
