All home team commentators are hommer-ish. Only when it made national TV then you have guys like Marv Albert, Mike Breen, JVG, Steve Kerr and Reggie Miller who really knows what they're talking about.

Also article on Grantland:

Bill Simmons and Zach Lowe debate the Lakers' woes - Grantland

Priceless:

"Simmons: I'm glad we finally got to Pau. Here's a good rule of thumb: If you're a professional basketball coach and your system is telling you, "I should play Earl Clark more than Pau Gasol," you need a new system."

I still see players talking trash to Lebron, etc..but nothing really happens... their attitude is more of a "who cares.. we will be in the playoffs and you won't".. so the "fans" act the same way now..

oh well.. I'm just glad Hockey is back as well to have another sport to watch when no good nba games are on

the Clips commentators slip up once in a while I personally find, but for the most part they're ok..... take for example a game against the Thunder, they continuously praised Kevin and the Thunder play overall, other guys wouldn't say a word, as a lot of the other teams guys are typical biased idiots, was watching a Thunder game the other day forgot against who and the commentators kept goin on complaining about how Russ and Kev kept gettin bailed out by "superstar" calls

fck LeBron and Melo '03......

my childhood right here, THIS the best draft class of all time

^ lol, tru story bro....
AI was famously hard to deal with especially in his early years not just on the basketball court....

so just finished the first half of the Lakers game, so far Pau is puttin in work...only bright spot though, cuz Howard still looks like a 35 year old nearing retirement... Nash is just giving the ball to the Grizz, and Kobe is Kobe... actually Kobe is heating up right now in the 3rd
Howard just re-aggravated his shoulder so he's out for the rest of the game

Trying to describe the ambidextrous nature of Mike, one of the Memphis announcers just said Mike Conley is "Amphibious" totally wrong fckin word

It's a toss up in my opinion between '94 and '86....
'86 had Jordan, Hakeem, Barkley, Stockton, Kevin Willis, Sam Perkins, Otis Thorpe, Alvin Robertson......'94 probably had a wider range of great players, but Jordan, Hakeem, Barkley, and Stockton have to be the top 4 guys to ever come out of the same class.

^ wow clear foul on the first one and it looked like the ref had a good angle as well. This lakers season this year... shit. From the convo up at the top of the page, I agree with the ego issue of the buss, he shouldn't be in charge. I was reading the BS report and they discussed it as well, good article. Check it out if you got a few spare minutes, discuss a lot about buss, dwight, odom, d'antoni (should be without the d) and earl.

Here's the official logo for New Orleans Pelicans, as per the official press release today. Meh, it's not just the team name doesn't sound intimidating, it's also the logo colours that are not appealing. -brown wings for a pelican with the body in the shape of a basketball?

http://nba.si.com/

It looks like the team used a poor pelican covered in oil from the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill as the logo.
-looks like a mean looking pelican covered in oil:
