Photography Hot Deals Thread

Thought one of these might be useful, especially when there's a good deal on compact flash cards. Lousy 5D3 has a shit SD card slot...

EDIT: Dammit, GoPros for $199 is over at NCIX. Nevermind.

If anyone wants a Samyang 35mm f1.4 (manual focus only), I'm getting one for $480 so if anyone wants one, I can see if I can get a second.

Not sure if this is actually a good deal or not but it looks like the Kamerar stuff is on sale right now. That Slider Dolly SD-1 looks pretty sick especially since its only 130 bones right now.

Products – Kamerar

$280 through Amazon. I don't know much about this camera, but I know this is a good deal.

$279 for that + lens is a pretty good deal!

i grabbed the 32gb, seems like too good of a deal to pass up, i also picked up this camera bag:

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004TA72DK/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00

im sure its not the greatest bag, but hey for $25 it's probably a good starter bag for my gear

Whether you benefit from the faster card will depend mainly on your camera and the type of shooting you do. If you shoot action and you camera will do high FPS, or if you're doing HD video, then you'll definitely see a benefit from the faster cards.

I dunno about their bags, but Manfrotto is one of the big names in tripods and such things. It's not a crap brand, by any means. Looks like a nice bag for $25.

Dammit, why are CF cards so much more than SD. If you own a 5D3, that's a pain in the ass.

Don't Use SD Cards with Your Canon 5D Mark III If You Care About Speed

It says it's free for a limited and then regular for $99 on the website. I guess it's free for now.

Is the Samyang supposed to be the same as Rokinon? If so, its a bit cheaper on Groupon right now.

Rokinon Wide-Angle Lenses Deal of the Day | Groupon Abilene, TX

$399 for the 35 F1.4
$299 for the 14 F2.8

Looks to be expiring soon, doesn't ship to Canada, but I figure this is something that could be shipped to Point Roberts.
