Looks to be expiring soon, doesn't ship to Canada, but I figure this is something that could be shipped to Point Roberts. | Thanks! Bought.

What the fuck, Groupon?
So I bought the lens and it said "May take 24 hours to process" and says usually you receive your voucher once the deal ends so I thought alright.
Still didn't receive it, e-mailed them and they said "Oh, processing error. Nothing we can do."
Fuckers.

Fuck Groupon.
Bought it off a reputable store on eBay instead. $400 flat. No tax. Free shipping.

because....? Don't tell me you're writing it off purely based on specs. If you've handled the camera, then that's a different story. For many people it's probably good enough for a lot of folk, especially at that price point.

I initially wanted one because I thought the price was decent and maybe an adapter would give me an excuse to buy old Nikon glass or something. I wanted a mirrorless camera and at the time, Canon hadn't announced the M and didn't look like they were going to so I looked at the Nikons, thinking that maybe since Nikon were the other real industry leaders in photography, maybe they could do it better than Panasonic, Olympus, whatever.
Every site I read reviews on hates these cameras. I sort of like the looks...I wanted a discrete mirrorless, not one that looks like a spaceship like Sony but after seeing the samples and reading opinions, universally people say that if you want more than a point and shoot, you don't want one of these.
Plus I shoot a lot of food in restaurants that don't have particularly good lighting and this thing is pretty awful at high ISO.
$349 isn't great. Panasonic, Olympus, Sony, etc all have a jump on Nikon and Canon when it comes to mirrorless and you can easily find deals in the $350 price range on cameras from any of those makers, all of which are just better. I'm waiting for the next Canon mirrorless announcement before I make a purchase but I'd have no problem buying Panasonic right now. You can find those in the $350 range and they have a far more established system than Nikon.

I was debating this too just recently. Sony or Nikon as an alternative to my DSLR. Decided with Sony because the sensor on the 5N is just so good.

Only reason I would buy a V1 is because for the price you can't really beat it's auto focus. It's super fast and you can get 15fps for 40 shots with autofocus and 60fps when locked focus.
I think its the Soccer Mom's dream camera. If you've got kids running around I'd say this is the one that won't miss a shot with max shutter of 1/16000 it better not miss. Lol.
It's a half serious reply but seriously if it was cheaper I'd really want one. But really looking for a cheap 5N body and 16mm 2.8
