Bouncing Bettys 05-30-2005 09:10 PM

lightning started a forrest fire less than a km from my cottage on kalamalka lake tonight. they've got bombers and fire fighters on the job so hopefully +50 years of family history and memories won't go up in flames.

yes there is more power to the rear wheels than the front in those cars. that is why they drift so well.. many nights of smoking all 4 tires practising drifting figure8's in the mall parking lot. not to mention it has a factory rear lsd... it was bound to break sooner or later... super fun cars but if parts availability was better i'd still own it.

yea, I read about that. What is the purpose of the limited slip diff? Do all cars havs LSD's...? I have been thinking about that and the "viscous" diffs. When the tranny arrives, the best of all three tranny's will be going into one. The viscous 'gears?' being some of the parts.

I learned one thing tonite... not to tow awd vehicles with two wheels on the ground due to it will burn out the VS

I was standing at the till at Candian Tire paying for my stuff when it started coming down, ran from the doorway to my car (no more than like, 10 seconds) and I was completely drenched. The hail actually hurt when it hit you, it was falling fast and hard. Could barely see the road, it was insane.

one of my tires was hooped, so i put my stock rims and tires on because i'm too cheap to buy a brand new tire for the 17's.

if anyone can get their hands on a 225/45/17 tire, let me know

2.5FearFactory 05-31-2005 04:52 PM

have you tried tiretrends? those guys are AWESOME :)

2.5FearFactory 06-03-2005 08:02 AM

wow....sorry to hear about all the deaths, Smokey. There have been a lot of biker "incidents" here too. Some guy was riding at well above the speed limit and slammed into some huge truck, died on the spot last week. Another two guys were racing around at ridiculous speeds in town smashed into each other, both in the hospital one doing pretty bad apparently. One more on teh Malahat, just all sorts of things...this is within the last WEEK.

2.5FearFactory 06-03-2005 10:09 AM

SWEEEEEEET just got home from traffic court....got my ticket (for driving w/ an expired VI :lol) reduced from 598 bucks to 278...gotta love being a student ;) and I have 'till Oct. 15th to pay it :D

RedCeli 06-03-2005 05:57 PM

expired VI? Do you have to get a VI every year down there?

bluebomber85 06-04-2005 02:16 PM

my break is over nukkas.. found a steal of a deal on a computer!

Big Daddy 06-04-2005 03:05 PM

Your VI's can expire, I had one for a while cuz I never went in for inspection within the 30 days, got pulled over and ended up knowing the cop, so he just gave me a warning and told me to get it done.

jeffh 06-04-2005 05:38 PM

WTF? you need to get it done yearly? no thats umpossible i think.i got one is august last year and i really done wanna dop it again this year

Big Daddy 06-04-2005 07:09 PM

nono, once you get a VI, you have 30 days to get it inspected, after the 30 days it's considered "Expired" which from what I was told can cause your car to get towed on the spot.
