Festus351 05-16-2005 10:19 PM

My friends brothers car spontaniously conbusted (not really.. something was wack with the wiring) at 5 in the morning in their drive way.. the paperlady saw it and came banging on the door.... the aftermath was basically the same as that guys.... it was shitty, mind you it wasnt a "project" car by any means.. still not a fun experience none the less im sure

girlcrazy_4 05-16-2005 11:06 PM

It would suck to watch your car burn and not have insurance...

No. Cant do much untill I get paid. Clutch just came in 2 days ago. I am in the process of ordering in a set of slotted rotors and new pads.

On the brightside, I think I'm sending the clutch back. I found a guy in vancouver parting out his RS with a 100,000k tranny, with a brand new f5 stage3 clutch and transfer case for a little more than I paid for the clutch

fourtirefire 05-17-2005 06:01 PM

that's a terrible death of a 10 second car :(

RRxtar 05-17-2005 06:17 PM

why slotted rotors and pads? the rotors and pads stopped great..... the slotted rotors unless theyre brembo or equivalent will warp fast aswell.

I was looking at some ebay knockoff ones that the kip guys say are awesome. Basically the car needs new rear rotors and pads all the way around, and I've always wanted a set of cross-drilled or slotted rotors, so I figured what the heck.

The front driver side pad is almost at the rivets, and the rear passenger pad is almost there too. The rear rotors look like they have been machined atleast 2 or 3 times and they look pretty thin, so I plan on getting everything done before she hits the road.
