i'll be more stoked on it when i know my way around. :D when i went down to find a place to live i think it was my 3rd visit ever. it seems pretty cool though. do many normal people live there or is it just politicians, tourists, old people, hippies, and students (and hippie students)?

transfer was easy because i've only gone part time the past few years, so i'm starting out as a lowly 2nd year student.

the weirdest part will be leaving kamloops since i was born and raised here and never lived elsewhere. that and being a poor student. might have to part with the car.

:haha: I did that once...had a '79 Caprice 2dr w/ a 350 and some tool was trying to race me on the highway in a V6 Mustang...so I'd play with him up to about 100 then back off....I kept beating him, but then he'd fly by me...I'd catch up to him at the next set of lights and beat him again, then he'd fly by me at 130-140...this went on until a cop on the side of the road waved him over :lol

SmokeyTheBandit 06-21-2005 07:17 PM

sweet storm, went to gyro on the bike to checkout the lighting.

2.5FearFactory 06-21-2005 07:52 PM

that's awesome :D we were just talking about how much I miss lightning storms...we get like one or two a year on here :( do you guys get a lot of them around Kamloops? (I have a little obsession w/ them :lol)

RRxtar 06-21-2005 07:58 PM

not really tho we've had 2 or 3 in the last week or 2 here.

usually get under 10 a year.

SmokeyTheBandit 06-21-2005 08:12 PM

i hope there are lots in vancouver. i love the thunder and lighting.

for some reason, i am happiest when it rains, and ontop of the world when theres thunder and lighting.

that explains why i have 10 good days out of 365 lol

2.5FearFactory 06-21-2005 08:36 PM

haha...oh well...10 is more than 2 ;) Nah...Van doesn't get any more thunderstorms than we do as far as I know...I hate the rain (you will too when you've lived on the coast for almost 12 yrs), but lightning storms are AWESOME :D

RedCeli 06-22-2005 09:13 AM

Lightning storms are bad out here because its so dry that they start forest fires.

Usually I welcome weather like this. However, it cancelled my
ball game and now I'm stuck inside. Grr.

Bouncing Bettys 06-22-2005 08:15 PM

at 2:40 am i spotted a comet(asteroid, whatever) streaking across the sky. much larger than a shooting star. the after image my eyes caught was of an thin orange streak with green surrounding it. i wonder if it ended up getting through the atmosphere and hitting somewhere. it was smaller and faster than images i've seen on video of them.

down_hill_dog 06-22-2005 09:47 PM

i think you bin smokin somthin dude. let me know what it is, i want to see comets too :P
