w00t...had an interview today with a dude who represents about 200 newspapers (he's doing interviews with a couple hundred students for 30-40 summer internship positions) and we're not supposed to know if we got shortlisted...but he told me at the end that I'm shortlisted and it's pretty much a matter of WHICH newspaper will take me on....should be a pretty pimp summer gig. -Tamas |
since i moved into rutland (is black mountain rutland?), this place just got a whole lot cooler. |
i refuse to associate black mountain and rutland together... whole different place. we are so much better than rutland... rutland is like the retarded little sister of black mountain |
ya, shes pretty ugly too |
Today I jump-started my airplane with my volkswagen. :) It turns out german cars are good for something. |

All you Rutland trash talkers can go fuck yourselves :D I would say that Rutland's a good place to live. It may not have the most glamorous neighbourhoods in kelowna, but il always call it home for as long as i live here. |

(i like scraping frost off my windows...) |
no matter where i live in Kelowna im still from downtown. born and raised. |
filed my taxes today.. sweet 237 dollar refund! |
glenmore boy here.... on a side note i added a 50" x 37" sheet of carbon fiber weave to my collection yesterday! yay custom intake and stuff! |
how much does something like that go for? |
i got it for 114 after taxes i just gotta find a way to vaccum seal the shit... any one know any ideas? I was thinking of buying some of those vaccum bags and doing that, but im not sure if that would work??? |
that's not bad....is it a hardened sheet...or a roll of "cloth"? |
roll of cloth, i still gotta get some epoxy |
ahhh gotcha...now don't you have to cure it at about 150 degrees celsius (which shouldn't be hard; an oven will do) but at about 90psi? How are you going to do that? (just curious...I think it's awesome that you're doing this yourself) |
Yah I've heard so much shit, The guy told me that if im laying it flat you dont have to vaccum seal it he didnt mention anything about baking it but i'll talk to kelowna industrial plastics and see what they say |
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...p+gear+mclaren that's where I saw it at hahaha :D but most of the pieces they're dealing with are NOT flat... EDIT: the part that may interest you is right around 2:00 minutes....they're saying 3hrs @ 90psi and 125*C.... |

great...some piece of shit walked out of my room (no clue how they got in here) with a Nikon D70s and my Canon A75 w/ 8 batteries, mini tripod, bag and 2 extra cards. And I was only borrowing the D70s from my school....fawk...so if you see either one of those cams pop up for sale...please let me know...thanks |
door locks? that sucks man |
Yeah...definitely will be getting those now. Thing is that this neighbourhood is so safe that when I moved in my landlords had ONE key between the 3 of them...they simply never locked the doors. Sometimes when I work on my truck (which is parked on the street) I forget my cellphone on the hood, go out a couple hrs later, and it's still there....*sigh* The landlords' insurance doesn't cover tenants...so I'm SOL on my camera, but the school doesn't seem to be freaking out about the D70s, so I think that was insured. Crappy start to my reading break haha |
