HAHAHAHHAHHA @ Bigdaddy

Wasteland 03-08-2006 07:54 PM

my summer rims are nothing to write home about, but I'm gonna wait...no point in wearing out summer tires in shitty weather. Besides...it still snows every now and again and it's good to have the snow tires on just in case.

fourtirefire 03-09-2006 10:36 PM

it's sweet when you clean out your tool chest and manage to pull out a full green garbage bag full of trash and useless parts.

I pity the fool who don't just sit around scratching his balls on a Saturday!

down_hill_dog 03-11-2006 04:47 PM

Did an oilchange today, and it was rather black. Poor teg. How many km's are you supposed to go on each oilchange? I think I put on around 6200 this last one. :(

Wasteland 03-11-2006 04:54 PM

tisk tisk....5K or less!

I just did an oil change too...since I built my motor about 12 000kms ago I've changed the oil at least 6 times (granted a few of those were during break-in). I drive it a LOT (5 months, 12K) and I still change it at every 4K or less. It used to be that when I saw my oil coming out black I'd change it weekly 'till it was nice and honey coloured. ppl thought it was stupid...but it's like 15 bucks for an oil change...so what if you do a couple extra ones?

down_hill_dog 03-11-2006 05:04 PM

$15????? Are you using used oil? Every one, with an OEM Honda filter comes to around $40 for me.

On a side note, my mothers Protege5 is suggested to have it changed every 8000 km... So i'm not sure.

fourtirefire 03-11-2006 05:14 PM

just did mine the other day.. they end up being around 4500-5000km between changes for me... this is my 3rd one since I bought the car in late fall, and allready put 14k on it since then.
For a fram filter, and castrol 5w30 oil it's around 24 bucks.

down_hill_dog 03-11-2006 05:24 PM

Looking back at my invoices, with my company discount for castrol GTX 10w30, Lucas oil stabilizer and an OEM Honda filter it's a buck or two shy of $40. Lucas is $8 and I only have to buy one bottle for 2 oilchanges.
