Besides...I'm pretty sure that running a Fram for 4000 is better for a car than a 40 dollar Honda OEM for 6200.

Tamas, you took my statement wrong. My Genuine Honda Filter is $9. In total my oil change is $40 each time.

Do you know for a fact it does just as good of a job? Or is it just because what you can't see dos'nt hurt you. Put a honda filter and a fram side by side and just by looking at them, you WILL notice a quality difference. For an extra $3-4 each change, i really don't mind buying the better product.

Congrats man! Now that ive quit/(serious cut down to once in a blue moon) chewing, its an awesome feeling!

bluebomber85 03-13-2006 10:12 PM

thanks for the support dudes i think i kicked the habit this time.. have no desire to have a smoke whatsoever.

RedCeli 03-14-2006 12:04 AM

The key is to stay off of them completely. The people who attempt to quit by gradually cutting down won't get anywhere. At least that's what the addiction model from my Economics of Gambling class says.

Good Steve, because it's fuckin gross. Just thinking about all the fuckin tar and gnarly shit going into your lungs should be enough right there.

RRxtar 03-14-2006 06:27 AM

The first 2 weeks is definitly the toughest. After that, you will feel like puking everytime you think about it.

down_hill_dog 03-14-2006 07:24 AM

Al, Enhanced dos'nt have bolt patterns listed for those wheels on yuor front page. Our good friend and long time Okanagan revscene member racer_x_33 might be looking for a set in 4x114.3 I sent you an e-mail, maybe you could hook a brotha up.

good note about the Fram:
"This filter appears to be the lowest quality of the group. But it is one of the most expensive of the group too, I guess marketing costs are pretty high here. The cardboard end-caps for the filter element, the cheap plastic by-pass valve and the flimsy anti-drainback valve will make me stay away from this filter.

Any of these filters would work for me except for the Fram ExtraGuard, I just don't care for it as they seem to have made to many compromises to lower manufacturing costs (read questionable quality)."

wow...thanks dude!

Use whichever filter you like. I'm just telling you after having a fram let me down, and then comparing the 2.. I'll only buy honda from now on.

Festus351 03-14-2006 01:05 PM

yay me... my birthday is comin up on the 24th (21 w00t) ... friday nite.. usually would mean a weekend of celebrating... but nope... this year i get to get ear surgery for the 4th time on my birthday and be out of commission all weekend, lol never fails.. ive been waiting since december for my specialist to make my surgery a "priority" as he claimed thats what hed do... i went to see him he said hed have me in within a few days... didnt happen.. then i went in again at the end of jan, he said hed get me in within the next week and hed get his office to call me.. well they called yesterday... grrr... oh well

its a good thing i didnt make any real plans for that weekend *thumbs down*

down_hill_dog 03-14-2006 05:25 PM

scary thought. I could have died in a head on crash tonight when an asshole driver passed me on the shoulder, forcing me into on-coming traffic. There was another group of cars coming head-on at the same time. Both RCMP and ICBC are involved, you could say i'm not in a great mood.

bmwwheelman 03-14-2006 05:34 PM

I really hate it when people pass on the right, it is the MOST ignorant thing to do... When I didnt have my lisence and rode my bike i dunno how many times i almost got ran down because asshole peolpe are to fucking impatient to stop and wait instead of goign around and almost running over a person on a bike...
Pretty sure i was more afraid of getting run over on my bike than i was of getting in an accident driving my car... which really in this town is pretty sad that someone cant ride thier bike on a road with out having to watch out for thier own ass because some ignorant asshole in a hurry would fuck up thier day

bluebomber85 03-14-2006 05:36 PM

i get road-rage pretty easily i think, man i'd wanna follow that guy and smack him with a fuckin' tire iron

Wasteland 03-14-2006 06:29 PM

DHD that sucks...same thing happened to me once...called it in the cops could have EASILY caught him (it was on a hwy...I was following him forever) but they didn't do fuckall. But when I go have some fun in the snow at 2am w/ nobody around they show up at my house...go figure.

oh and I hope I didn't sound snarky or whatever w/ my reply...I wasn't sarcastic...this thread IS making me reconsider my choice of filters :)

shitty deal, speaking of shitty drivers.. did you notice that dump truck and pup that decided to turn left in front of me at gordon & harvey? the fucker saw the oncoming traffic and just turned hoping we'd slow down for him.

Also, lately I'm ready to kill a few drivers in pickups who cut me off when changing lanes as if it's nothing.. with only inches to spare doing highway speeds... sketchy to say the least.

jeffh 03-15-2006 06:30 AM

bah, at highway speeds ive mad contact with craig. its not all that bad.
seriously tho. i shuttled some people yesterday and monday cuz the ordinary guy took some extra days off. and its a scarey place to drive out there.

down_hill_dog 03-15-2006 08:18 AM

HAHA first time i've ever sideswiped anyone... I must say it was fun.
