I think I saw that Mazdaspeed3 in Richmond yesterday... that's based on the assumption that there aren't many black MS3s in Richmond, of course.

Anyway, I shot a bunch last night but only had time to play with one this morning...

^^ WTF.. you suck!! What's your take on the car?

TheSmokeShow 02-04-2008 09:51 AM

damn! more of that R8!

Levitron 02-04-2008 12:50 PM

Could have been me too :p

I saw an R8 driven by a middle aged gentleman with his teenage son on Broadway and Cambie yesterday. They were loading up office supplies into the car.

That definitely wasn't me, I look like a teenage son and was nowhere near any office supplies yesterday.

Car is good, although to be honest it's not my bag. Mid-engined AWD is a formula for a lazy-man's sports car, and with winter tires on it its limits are relatively low. I certainly don't mind having it to test though, although I've yet to find a gas station that'll sell me the recommended 98 octane fuel or even the required 95. Ah well, 94 will have to do.

I'll take a look through the rest of the pics tonight or tomorrow and find a few more good ones. Great car to photograph, that I will say.

I have to say that car is a beauty in person as well. I love how the body just FLOWS.

I don't know if it was office supplies or not, but there were two guys loading some kind of stuff into the car and the hood was open. This was in front of Office Depot...I just went to MEC and was driving towards Oak.

1983 Z28 02-04-2008 05:40 PM

Nope, I stayed out of downtown. Traffic + crap R-Tronic gearbox = bad times.

Expressly taken to steal Mananetwork's Corrado style... You know what they say about imitation. ;)

Although I havent had an R8, I had an RS4 for a few days and it has the same motor. It did not require 95/98 octane, I'm fairly sure you're looking at the wrong part of the label which gives you the European requirements which are measured differently. The RS4 requires 91 and recommends 93 here...

J____ 02-06-2008 01:00 PM

i love that car!

1983 Z28 02-06-2008 01:43 PM

I thought the fuel was odd to because I recall the RS4's fuel requirement, but the R8 required 95 octane AKI. Trust me, I double checked. And then I checked again.

And then I bent over.

550ex/430ex bounce off ceiling ( using the umbrella didn't look as nice need a huge ass soft box or something so i used the ceiling as my softbox. we also moved the cars under one of the florescent lights to add a lil lighting to the ground and stuff
