blackradon, maybe take a look at the sigma 10-20. It's quite a bit cheaper and does a great job! A few of us on here have it, and I've yet to hear anything bad about it, nor do I find anything wrong with mine!

77civic1200 10-06-2008 03:47 PM

Try not centering the car so much in the frame, all 3 shots have the car right in the middle. Google > rule of thirds

Also watch your shadows (pic 1) and chopping off parts of the car (pic 3)

Sweet car btw, had me a little confused, thought it might have been from out of country or something. I(heart)wagons

Nice mazda 3, really clean. Pics look good too! What rims are those? Enkei?

Roach 10-07-2008 11:03 PM

Thanks for the kind comments guys!

BlackRadon: I lived in Alberta for a year. You may not have our graffiti walls, but there are many beautiful things in Alberta you could share with us. It's not all fields :D

MikesJo: Yes, Enkei RPF1's. 17x9's on 245/40/17. A bit of a risk fitting such a wide wheel/tire combo on but I'm managing with a sliver of clearance here and there. A big improvement over the 18x7, 215's that come stock on the MS3.

Kev

joquio 10-07-2008 11:07 PM

:damn: I love that MS3 :eek5r:

Yes, this is true..not just fields, we also have BAD ROADS! lol. Ill be heading into calgary tommorow. So new shot tommorow!

Roach 10-07-2008 11:58 PM

Not to go too far OT, but yes, the roads, especially in Edmonton are unbearable. What city are you in? Calgary has some nice places to shoot downtown or in Northwest near the COP overlooking the city.

Kev

BlackRadon 10-08-2008 08:10 AM

i live in banff, so a good 45 min drive..But yes back OT...shots coming today.

I wanted to say RPF1s, the only thing holding me back is that face is only available on 9" and wider so I was really hesitant. Didn't think anyone would put a 9" wheel on a Mazdaspeed. But wow props it looks great! What offsets did you end up choosing?

Roach 10-08-2008 10:11 PM

17x9 +45 all around.

More pics! You guys inspire me to take better photos :D

I have photo from the same location, but I'm not going to release it till next week because it was for a client.

Roach 10-08-2008 11:11 PM

Can't wait. What kind of car?

Truthfully, I was near there with a friend because he wanted a new camera bag and happened upon the location. It's too bad that some of the artwork has been vandalized by some losers. Some awesome stuff there.
