so because a person has a mid-level honda, does it mean that it is mid level compared to other cars in the market? The Boxter is the lowest level in the Porsche line, but does it mean that it's slower then a S2000? And if so, by how much? If the person wasn't all about speed and didn't care about racing shit, then would it really matter in the end if his/her car is slower. You're built up about speed and performance, but does that mean that everyone else has to have the same ideas as you do?

Stock Rb26dett are only rated at 280ps or 276hp regarding to the gentlemen's agreement. Everyone knows it is underrated. I am talking stock to stock here. sure it's got everything forged from connecting rod to the sleeves, but at stock form it is still only calculates to about 320hp. At 3700lb that is about 11.6lb per hp. stock wheel width for r34gtr are 245/18s all the way around.

Now the Boxster S. It has 250hp at the crank, 2800lb, 265/18s on the rear, and has better areodynamics than the r34. that is 11.2lb per hp. With bigger diplacement than the RB Boxster S will have better response, and more low end pull because of the lesser weight ratio. stock skylines torque is 219 while boxster S is 225. So more torque less weight, more hp to weight ratio = to faster car. not to mention the lower center gravity with the boxer engine and the lower profile. A stock skyline isn't faster period.

Ok now you might think "but skyline has all wheel drive!" ya sure it does, but mid-engine layout of the boxer gives it a much superior amount of traction matched with the wider tires than the skyline. It is just too heavy to compare in stock form. the modding capability is a different story.

STI and EVO are rally cars, yes they are fast. Faster than the Boxster S. I never said they are not. stock to stock EVO and STI will walk the Boxster because of the power advantage and the AWD. they are much lighter than skyline but their high end aren't impressive. Their rally characteristics give them low end speed. The extra short gears is what gives them their phnominal acceration. higher speed highway pulls they will not walk the boxster S because of their low gears and areodynamics.

There you have it. Boxster S might not be consider fast to you, but it sure is for me. There isn't really many stock cars out there for the money that combines all the balance, acceration and driving experience of a mid-engine roadster like the Boxsetr S.

And yes it is a 6speed, I am performance orientied but I don't drive like a fool.
