I did the Gun Range, it definitely starts to add up after I shot a few other guns so it got pretty pricey for me but you can get some preset packages for a better deal... but it was fun and an interesting experience, firing the Desert Eagle will be in my memory forever, wow the power! The whole room shook!

Try Cheap Las Vegas Specials, Las Vegas Hotel Deals, Free Vegas Coupons for hotel deals. They also have some good show deals as well. I'd just do the $55 Cirque Du soleil specials, recommend KA if you haven't seen it before.

Planning to go in Aug from a Sun-Thurs, but I can't decide on which hotel to book and if I should book now or wait closer to the date (will prices increase, decrease, stay the same)?

PH - 370
ARIA - 435
ENCORE - 485

Price is per person and flying from Bellingham - I've stayed at PH before and I'm aware that Aria & Encore have resort fee (is it a 100$ daily or 100$ per person for entire stay)? I've heard way too many mix review about Aria & Encore and I have enjoyed staying at PH.

thanks guys!

charlesd 06-04-2012 11:12 AM

What're the exact dates? And resort fee should be $100 total + tax. The PH rooms are starting to get a little old and dated. I love the Encore rooms though, but don't think I'd be willing to pay the difference to stay there.

ENCORE's rooms should be pretty nice but it's kinda far from the strip. You're near Fashion Mall incase you wanna get some cheap food.

I would pick Aria out of the 3. Pretty good location easy walk to PH (miracle mile) and not that bad of a walk to Bellagio

Aria has a $25 daily resort fee per room. You get wifi and local calling on the landline at the hotel included in that resort fee.

For Encore, you get privileges at the clubs there - XS, Surrender, and Encore beach club. I heard Haze at Aria isn't that good. Regardless, I was at XS as well and it was a damn sausage fest this past Saturday for supposedly the best nightclub in the world. Nevertheless, I was with my girl and DJ Nero was the headliner which made my night.

I was actually just at Vdara this past weekend. I liked the CityCenter spot because the location was good. It's where the Cosmopolitan as well so Marquee was just walking distance. I liked that club better than XS.

If I were you, I would book now.

You stayed at the Vdara? Did you like it? I know it has no casino.

Are there any other hotels you'd recommend? Girl can't decide which hotel to book, she originally wanted Cosmo but Allegiant doesn't have it for booking.

EDIT: just found Cosmo on Allegiant....is 495PP worth it? Aria just dropped the price to 418.

Aria is a one minute walk. So it's not too bad. FYI, Cosmopolitan is 5 minute walk.

That's a good price. Pick Cosmo, They have 3 pool areas.

bigzz786786 06-06-2012 12:41 PM

just booked a 3 day trip for the 17, 255 for flight and 78 for 2 nights at the LVH, not bad considering the LVH has its on monorail stop, so access to the strip easy, and the north outlets are close by.

I stayed at the Vdara - I quite like it for what I did.

Keep in mind it's a non-gaming non-smoking hotel. The rooms are brand new, automated and suite like (like a high end condo).

It's an easy walk to Aria and also an easy walk to Bellago (both are about 2-3 mins each). Cosmo is 5 mins.

For you and your GF you guys should probably go with Cosmo.

All the girls seem to go Googoogaga for it (like a panty dropper). I went through Cosmo once but I'm not too impressed with the casino. Haven't stayed there personally but the videos and pics I see of the Cosmo rooms make it look good.

how should one dress when going to the clubs in vegas? dress formal?

Obsideon 06-27-2012 12:02 PM

Dress to impress, button top, dress pants.

That being said, I went to my first Day Club Beach Party at Encore for David Guetta & Afrojack and it was the best damn party I've been to! Soaking in the hot beaming sun, dressed in comfortable casual clothes, dipping in the pool, just lots of friendly and fun-loving people, oh and the smoking hot babes in bikini's is a nice little plus! ;)
I felt like compared to the Vegas nightclubs where they make you line-up for hours (unless your a hot chick) or forcing you to get table service (over 1k) and then packing the club to 150% capacity to the point you can't even move let alone dance is not my thing.

The next time I head down to Vegas I made a note to self to stay at the Cosmo, looks pretty neat in there and their lunch buffet is really good! $22 includes a free cocktail so essentially it's only $15 (considering that a drink at most places in Vegas is about $7-10). The selection isn't as big as the other buffets in town (Rio comes to mind lol) but I found the quality of the food to be very good! The benedicts were delicious!

Depends if you're just worried about being able to get in, wanting to impress etc

Bare minimum should be Jeans + Dress Shirt + Dress shoes or runners (not like basketball shoes or anything but some more casual runners like Diesal etc are fine)

I've never been denied entering any club in Vegas dressing as the above.

blkgsr 06-27-2012 09:49 PM

ok options are:

vdara
cosmo

possibly ceasars

those are the three cheapest for the 4 days we're going down aug 30 - sept 3

i'm reading the pool at vdara sucks....cosmo's pools are supper busy on the weekends with people coming from all over....i've stayed at ceasars before (pool was meh) and i kinda want to stay some where new

last time i was down i stayed a the wynn (which was awesome) but it's WAY more money right now, double what we paid last time
